The LF Energy Summit took place in Brussels on September 5–6, 2024. A June 12 announcement outlined a program focused on open-source technologies and standards for the energy sector, with keynotes and breakout sessions spanning energy data, policy, grid operations, and forecasting.
What the Summit was for
The Linux Foundation announcement described the Summit as a gathering for LF Energy members, developers, vendors, utilities, and other stakeholders to learn about LF Energy projects and collaborate on open-source technologies and standards. Its stated scope crossed generation, transmission, distribution, technology, and government. The June 12, 2024 announcement framed the event around sharing practices and advancing energy-sector solutions; LF Energy’s pressroom archive later confirmed the event dates and described its focus on digital technologies and standards for physical infrastructure, supply and demand coordination, and clean-energy integration.
