Fixmo’s Enterprise Mobility Platform (EMP) was a modular enterprise mobility and security suite announced in May 2013. It combined device management with tools for checking device integrity, protecting business apps and data, controlling SharePoint documents, authenticating users, and providing secure corporate access. At the time, organizations could deploy it as a complete platform or add individual services to existing mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM) systems.
What Fixmo announced in 2013
Fixmo introduced EMP at CTIA Wireless in Las Vegas in May 2013. It was enterprise software for organizations seeking to manage and secure mobile work, including bring-your-own-device (BYOD) programs—not a consumer app or a hardware product. SecurityWeek’s contemporaneous May 21, 2013 report described its scope as protecting business data, managing mobile devices and applications, and supporting BYOD.
The announcement’s underlying idea was to bring work onto mobile devices while keeping it subject to enterprise security and compliance controls. Fixmo CEO Rick Segal put it this way: “It’s no longer about ‘bringing devices to work,’ it’s about ‘bringing work to devices’ in a secure and compliant manner,” as quoted by SecurityWeek.
What the EMP modules were meant to do
The announced modules addressed different parts of the mobile security problem. The table reflects the functions and platform coverage described in 2013, not verified current product specifications.

Fixmo Chief Marketing Officer Tyler Lessard described EMP as bringing the company’s technologies together in a “newly federated platform” that was “extremely flexible and customizable.” That was Fixmo’s promotional characterization, not an independently established performance finding.
How organizations could deploy it
The announcement described two architectural approaches: buy or deploy the suite end to end, or add selected EMP services to an organization’s existing MDM or MAM infrastructure. The second approach could let a company add a specific capability—such as integrity checks or SharePoint data controls—without replacing every existing mobility-management component.

SecurityWeek reported that the historical offering could be deployed on-premise or as a cloud-based subscription. Those were options described for the 2013 product, not evidence of present-day sales, support, or hosting availability.
Who the announcement targeted
Fixmo positioned EMP for enterprise and government organizations handling sensitive mobile work, including BYOD deployments and regulated environments. The 2013 report named government, financial services, and healthcare customers. A separate Motorola Solutions release dated July 9, 2013 described Fixmo MDM and integrity-verification capabilities for Android as part of Motorola’s AME 2000 government-sector secure mobile offering. It cited remote policy and application management, integrity and compliance monitoring, and a secure workspace that could be locked or wiped. This documents a historical integration, not current compatibility or availability.

What happened after the announcement
On June 3, 2014, Good Technology said it had completed the acquisition of certain Fixmo assets, including Fixmo U.S. Its release said Good planned to integrate Sentinel Integrity Services and other key products. It described Sentinel as helping IT ensure devices started and remained in a known trusted state and complied with corporate requirements. See Good Technology’s acquisition announcement.
This establishes a subsequent acquisition of certain assets and a stated integration plan; it does not establish the current owner, support status, or availability of every EMP module named in 2013. The historical record therefore supports describing EMP as an announced modular platform, not as a suite readers can assume is still offered.
