Qantas A380 First Class is a 14-seat cabin at the front of the aircraft’s lower deck, with individual suites, fully-flat beds, personalised dining and First lounge facilities on eligible itineraries. The experience also includes dedicated check-in and boarding, plus crew turn-down service. Exact menus, lounge services and onboard amenities can vary by flight and location.
What is Qantas A380 First Class like?
Qantas describes First as a suite-based cabin with a 1-1-1 layout. The small cabin places each passenger in an individual seat rather than a shared pod arrangement. The airline’s A380 aircraft page lists 14 First seats at the front of the lower deck.
The experience extends beyond the seat: Qantas describes premium check-in, lounge dining and selected spa facilities before departure, then personalised dining and crew service onboard. These are airline-stated features, not a guarantee that every facility or menu item will be available on every itinerary.
What seat do you get in Qantas A380 First?
The seat converts into a fully-flat bed. Qantas’s A380 page lists a seat width of 55.9 cm (22 in), a pitch of 201 cm (79 in), lumbar support, in-seat massage, an electronic window shade, power and USB charging, and an 18-inch high-definition seat-back entertainment display. The airline also describes noise-cancelling headphones as part of the onboard experience.

Qantas gives slightly different bed measurements on two current pages: up to 213 cm (84 in) on its A380 page and 212 cm on its First cabin page. If an exact measurement matters, check the details for the aircraft operating your flight; otherwise, “fully-flat bed” is the clearest description.
Sleeping and sharing the suite
Qantas says crew can turn the suite into a bed, with Sheridan bedding, a pillow menu and a memory foam mattress. A travelling companion may also join the passenger for a meal, using the suite’s leather ottoman.

Menus change, so a particular dish or drink should not be treated as guaranteed.

Qantas’s December 11, 2025 announcement about First enhancements described Margaret restaurant dishes, dine-on-demand, new amenity kits and sleepwear, and selected wines and Champagnes, with full rollout expected by mid-2026. That was a rollout plan, not confirmation that every item is now on every flight. The announcement’s sample dishes—including yellowfin tuna tartare, roasted Wollemi duck and crumbed Margra lamb cutlets—are examples, not a promise of a specific menu.

Qantas describes First lounges as offering chef-designed dining, wines, Champagne, cocktails, non-alcoholic drinks, barista coffee and private business suites. It also lists complimentary LaGaia spa treatments, with facilities and availability dependent on location and operations. Its First lounge information describes these services; check the departure airport’s current facilities and access details rather than assuming every service is available everywhere.

What service do you get in Qantas First?
Qantas describes dedicated premium check-in, a dedicated First boarding lane and, at listed airports, a First Host who can guide passengers to the gate. Onboard, crew can provide turn-down service to prepare the suite for sleep. Availability of airport hosts and other ground services depends on the airport and operation.

Which routes have Qantas A380 First?
Qantas’s cabin page lists selected A380 First destinations including Singapore, Johannesburg, London and Los Angeles. Its December 2025 enhancement announcement also mentioned Dallas. These are examples, not a guarantee that every route or departure uses an A380: aircraft assignments and schedules can change. Check the aircraft and cabin shown for your specific flight, then verify airport lounge and service details close to departure.
