First identify what is missing: a deposit, a referral reward, or a different promotional credit. They can follow different rules and appear in different account records. For a Kalshi referral credit, check the offer’s requirements in Rewards, then inspect Activity → Credit and any claim step. For a delayed deposit or another promotion, use that platform’s official instructions; there is no universal wait time or recovery process established here.
Identify whether the missing item is a deposit or a bonus
A deposit is money you sent to the platform. A referral bonus or trade-credit promotion is a reward governed by its own eligibility, claim, and expiration rules. Do not assume that troubleshooting one will fix the other.
Check the platform’s account records and help pages for the category that matches your issue. Kalshi’s Help Center separates deposits and withdrawals, programs and promotions, and support, which is a useful reminder that these are distinct cases.

Confirm the account-specific requirements
Open the Rewards area in your Kalshi account and review the offer shown there, including its required steps and expiration date. Kalshi says reward amounts and requirements depend on the program applying to the account, so a promotion described elsewhere may not match your offer.

Look for a separate credit or claim step
Check Activity → Credit rather than relying only on the cash balance. On the web, open Activity and then Credit; in the app, open Menu → Activity → Credit. A referred user may see the credit there automatically or need to select “Unlock your referral bonus” in the onboarding checklist. If you referred someone, check the referrals area for a claim step on an issued reward.
Verify referral eligibility
Kalshi’s Referral Program FAQ, published August 25, 2026, says a valid referral link or code must be used at sign-up or entered within 72 hours of account creation and before the first deposit. The account must also complete KYC verification. The FAQ says a code cannot be added retroactively after that window closes or replaced once applied.

Check the credit’s expiration
The FAQ says referral credits generally expire seven days after issuance unless the offer specifies otherwise. Use the account display to check the relevant date. Under the stated policy, an expired referral credit cannot be reissued, reinstated, or extended.

Kalshi describes referral credits as trading credit, not cash. The original credit generally is not withdrawable, although profits made using it may be withdrawable. Check the terms shown for your offer before treating a credit as a cash balance.

For a deposit or another promotion, use the platform’s official guidance
The Kalshi referral rules above do not establish how long deposits take, how other promotions are credited, or what recovery steps apply to them. Follow the relevant platform’s deposit or promotion instructions and contact its official support channel if those instructions do not resolve the issue. Do not make another deposit solely as a diagnostic step, and do not assume support can restore an expired or missing credit.
