SpecterOps announced a $75 million Series B on March 5, 2025, led by Insight Partners. The company said it would use the funding to scale BloodHound Enterprise (BHE), its managed identity attack path management service, and expand research, consulting, sales, and marketing. The announcement did not disclose SpecterOps’ valuation, investor dilution, or the round’s full terms.

Who invested in SpecterOps?

Insight Partners led the round. SpecterOps named Ansa Capital, M12, Ballistic Ventures, Decibel, and Cisco Investments as participating investors. The company’s announcement identifies the investors but does not disclose individual investment amounts.

What BloodHound Enterprise does

BHE is managed SaaS for security and identity teams. It maps relationships in an organization’s identity environment to expose paths an attacker might use to reach important systems or data. Teams can use those findings to prioritize identity risks, follow remediation guidance, and track changes over time. SpecterOps said BHE launched in 2021, initially focusing on Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Active Directory, now called Microsoft Entra ID.

BloodHound’s underlying approach is graph-based: it analyzes connections among identities, permissions, and other resources to make less obvious access relationships visible. That can help defenders investigate exposure and prioritize work, but mapping a possible attack path is not a guarantee that an attack will be prevented.

What the funding is intended to support

SpecterOps said the proceeds would support scaling BHE and growing its research, consulting, sales, and marketing operations. The announcement describes the company’s intended use of the capital; it does not establish that the round directly funded any particular later feature.

For enterprise buyers, the stated focus points to continued investment in the commercial platform and the teams around it. It does not, by itself, reveal future product pricing, packaging, deployment changes, or a delivery timetable.

What SpecterOps said about its growth

In its March 2025 announcement, SpecterOps reported 100% year-over-year annual recurring revenue growth in 2024, more than 60% year-over-year growth in new customer acquisition in Q4 2024, and nearly 200 BHE customers. These are company-reported figures, not independently verified metrics in the cited announcements.

The same announcement said BloodHound Community Edition had been downloaded more than 1.5 million times and that SpecterOps had trained more than 7,000 students in adversary-focused courses. It also reported more than 400 security community contributions, more than 90 open-source security tools created, and over 185 customers helped with adversary simulation and detection assessments. These figures describe different activities and should not be treated as interchangeable measures of BHE adoption.

How the platform has expanded since the financing

In a July 28, 2026 announcement, SpecterOps described additional BHE capabilities: support for AWS and Microsoft Entra Agent ID, plus BloodHound Hunter, which the company describes as a purpose-built AI agent interface connecting approved AI agents and knowledge sources with BHE findings. SpecterOps said its graph coverage spans AWS, Entra, Okta, GitHub, Jamf, and Active Directory.

Those are later product claims from SpecterOps, not reported terms or outcomes of the March 2025 financing. Product coverage and capabilities can change, so organizations evaluating BHE should confirm the current supported integrations and requirements with the company.

What the round does—and does not—tell buyers

The raise gives SpecterOps capital to pursue the company’s stated plan for BHE and related functions. It is not evidence on its own of product effectiveness, security outcomes, market position, or whether BHE is the right fit for a particular environment. A buyer assessing the platform should determine whether its identity systems are covered, how data is collected and deployed, how findings fit existing remediation workflows, and what the commercial terms are.

SpecterOps also said it had launched a channel partner program; its newsroom lists a Cisco Marketplace announcement and a Carahsoft government-agency partnership. Those items indicate enterprise procurement routes may exist, but current availability and terms should be verified directly with the relevant partner or SpecterOps.
