Samsung’s India product pages list six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates for both the Galaxy M08 and Galaxy F08. They give 30 September 2032 as the current end date for security updates. That date is not a promise of monthly patches, same-day delivery, or a particular future Android or One UI version.
What support Samsung lists for each phone
| Phone | OS upgrades | Security updates | Listed security-update end date |
|---|---|---|---|
| Galaxy M08 | Six generations | Six years from the first global launch date | 30 September 2032 |
| Galaxy F08 | Six generations | Six years from the first global launch date | 30 September 2032 |
These terms come from Samsung’s India listings for the Galaxy M08 and Galaxy F08. Samsung says the stated OS-upgrade and security-update policies are subject to change.
What “six generations of OS upgrades” means
Samsung expresses the OS commitment as a count of generations, not as a list of named Android or One UI releases. The product-page wording does not identify which future versions either phone will receive, so it is not possible to derive a reliable version-by-version schedule from the six-generation figure alone.

What the 2032 date does—and doesn’t—tell you
The 30 September 2032 date is the currently listed security-update validity date on Samsung India’s product pages. It indicates the stated support horizon, not a specific release timetable. Samsung’s Mobile Security information says update timing can vary by device, model, or service version. The date does not establish a monthly cadence or mean that every phone receives a patch on the same day.

Nor does the published commitment guarantee identical schedules across regional models, future feature parity, or how well the phones will perform over time. For a phone purchased outside India, check the support information for its exact regional model; Samsung’s cited M08 and F08 pages are India listings.
Is one phone supported longer than the other?
On the support terms published on those India pages, neither has a listed advantage: both show six OS-upgrade generations, six years of security updates from first global launch, and the same 30 September 2032 security-update date. That comparison is limited to the published support wording; it does not establish that every regional variant will follow an identical schedule.

How this compares with Samsung’s earlier policy announcements
Samsung’s 2022 announcement described up to four generations of One UI and Android OS upgrades for select devices, while its 2021 announcement described a minimum four-year security-update policy for Galaxy devices launched since 2019. Those announcements offer historical context, but the model-specific terms on the current M08 and F08 pages are the relevant statements for these phones: Samsung’s 2022 announcement and Samsung’s 2021 announcement.

- Use 30 September 2032 as the current security-update end date listed for these India models, not as a patch-delivery calendar.
- Check Samsung’s current support information for your exact regional model, since policies can change and timing may vary.
