Your Cash App PIN is the private four-digit code you set for your account. Cash App may use it for access or to authorize payments when Security Lock is enabled, and it is also associated with ATM withdrawals. There is no universal or default PIN: if you do not remember yours, use the reset option in the app rather than trying to retrieve or guess it.
What your Cash App PIN is used for
Cash App calls it your “Cash PIN.” Its U.S. Terms of Service, last updated June 4, 2026, define it as the code you set and say you may reset it in Cash App. Cash App’s getting-started guide describes the PIN as a four-digit code and associates it with logging in and withdrawing cash at ATMs.

The PIN is personal to your account. Cash App does not publish a shared customer PIN, and its official materials do not describe a way to display or retrieve the code you previously chose.

Cash PIN, Security Lock, and sign-in code are different
- Cash PIN: The private code you set for your Cash App account.
- Security Lock: An optional security control that can require a PIN, face recognition, or fingerprint authentication to unlock the app or authorize a payment. See Cash App’s security guidance.
- Sign-in code: A separate code used to sign in; it is not your Cash PIN.
Do not confuse your Cash PIN with the PIN for a debit card issued by another bank or with your Cash App Card number.

If you forgot your Cash App PIN
Cash App’s Terms confirm you can reset your PIN in the app, but the official sources cited here do not specify the current screen-by-screen steps. Open Cash App and follow its current PIN reset flow. If you cannot access your account, use Cash App’s official support route in the app. Its Terms also list 1-800-969-1940 as the only phone number customers can call for support.
Support should not need you to disclose your PIN. Cash App says its representatives will never ask for your password, PIN, or full debit card number.

If someone asks you for your PIN
Do not share it with anyone who contacts you, even if they claim to be Cash App support. Cash App states: “Cash App will never ask you for your sign-in code or PIN.”

If you already shared your PIN, use the app’s official reset and support flow, then review your account activity. Resetting the PIN is a sensible step, but it does not by itself establish that every account-security issue has been resolved.

- To access your card information safely, type the complete website address shown on your Gift Card (MyGift.GiftCardMall.com) directly into your browser's address bar. Don't use search engines or shortened versions of the website address, as these may lead you to fake or fraudulent sites.
