Croc: Legend of the Gobbos is a 3D platform adventure in which Croc sets out to rescue the Gobbos from Baron Dante. The 2025 remaster keeps that premise and advertises updated visuals, controls and camera behavior, along with retro display options and a digital museum.

What do you do in the game?
It is a 3D platformer built around movement, hazards, enemies and rescues. Argonaut’s official trailer names several of Croc’s actions:

- Stomping as an attack or action against obstacles and enemies.
- Climbing and swimming to navigate different kinds of terrain.
- Tailspinning as another way to take action during the adventure.
The official material establishes these basic activities, but does not specify a level count or provide enough detail to characterize the full progression or difficulty curve.

What does the remaster add?
Argonaut describes the remaster as including enhanced HD graphics, modern control mechanics, an updated camera and retro video modes. These are the developer’s descriptions of the features, rather than an independent assessment of their quality.
It also includes a digital museum assembled from recovered development materials. Argonaut lists concept art, level designs, animation tests, design documents, promotional material, soundtrack mixes and interviews among its contents.

When did it launch, and what platforms is it on?
Argonaut announced that the remaster launched on April 2, 2025, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC through GOG. Check the relevant regional storefront for current availability and edition details.
Is there a physical edition?
Argonaut’s FAQ says a physical release was available to preorder with Rock It Games in 2024. That historical preorder information does not confirm current stock or availability; check a retailer directly before planning to buy a physical copy.

What should beginners know before choosing a version?
