Cingular’s former wireless customer service is handled by AT&T. For an existing wireless bill, account, service problem, or cancellation, call 800-331-0500. AT&T currently lists support hours as Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–8 p.m. Central Time, and Saturday–Sunday, 9 a.m.–7 p.m. Central Time. Check the AT&T Wireless support page for current hours and contact options.
Why a Cingular question goes to AT&T
Cingular is a former consumer wireless brand associated with what is now AT&T Mobility. An old bill, device record, or account document may still say “Cingular,” but that does not usually mean there is a separate current Cingular support operation. These numbers and routing options are listed on AT&T’s wireless support page and its PREPAID account-help page. Do not substitute AT&T’s general support number, 800-288-2020, for a wireless-account issue; that number is presented on the general AT&T support page.
If you have an old Cingular bill or phone
Call the standard wireless number and explain that the document identifies the former Cingular brand. Have these details ready:

- The device IMEI if the problem concerns a particular phone
A representative may be able to identify the current account or explain its status. That does not guarantee that AT&T can restore a discontinued account, reactivate retired network technology, recover an old number, or migrate every legacy service. Results depend on account history, number availability, and current AT&T policy. Business or employer-liable accounts may also use a separate support arrangement.
If you need to cancel a line or service
AT&T’s current wireless cancellation guidance directs customers to the standard wireless number or AT&T chat when available. AT&T says that cancelling during a billing period generally does not produce a prorated wireless charge, and any unpaid device-installment balance may become due immediately. Those are AT&T’s stated rules at the time of publication and can change, so confirm the final amount with the representative before completing cancellation.

Why old Cingular numbers appear in search results
Archived pages and legal documents may show 1-866-CINGULAR (1-866-246-4852). For example, an archived federal filing reproduces that historical contact. It is not the current official wireless-support number. Prefer AT&T’s live support page instead of relying on a number copied from old paperwork, search snippets, or sponsored listings.

Protect your account when seeking help
- Open the contact details from an official AT&T domain, preferably att.com/support/wireless.
- Do not give an unsolicited caller your password, one-time verification code, or full payment-card details.
- If you use a callback or chat link, verify that the session began through an official AT&T channel.
