If your statement says “Roku for CBS Interactive,” Roku identifies the charge as a Paramount+ subscription billed through Roku. CBS Interactive is also the developer name on Roku’s Paramount+ app listing. To confirm which subscription or transaction it is, check the invoice and subscription details in the Roku account that made the purchase.
What does “CBS Interactive” mean on Roku?
In Roku’s billing context, “Roku for CBS Interactive” refers to Paramount+. The service is sold to viewers as Paramount+, while CBS Interactive appears as the billing descriptor and as the developer name on Roku’s Paramount+ app listing. The name alone does not identify the account, plan, or transaction behind a particular charge, so compare the full statement descriptor with your Roku invoice.
Roku’s support page explicitly maps “Roku for CBS Interactive” to Paramount+. Its Paramount+ Channel Store listing also names CBS Interactive as the app developer.

- Sign in to my.roku.com using the Roku account associated with the device or purchase.
- Open Purchase history and invoices.
- Inspect the invoice details and look for the Paramount+ subscription or other purchase that matches the charge and date.
- If you use more than one Roku account, check the other accounts in your household and the Roku devices connected to them.
Roku says charges it processes may appear as “Roku,” “Roku for ___,” or “The Roku Channel.” A subscription bought directly from a provider will not appear in Roku purchase history. Roku’s purchase-history guidance explains where to review account charges.

Roku billing versus direct Paramount+ billing
| Billing route | What to check | Where to manage billing |
|---|---|---|
| Billed through Roku | The statement may include “Roku” or “Roku for CBS Interactive”; confirm the matching purchase in Roku history and subscription controls. | Roku account or Roku device subscription settings. |
| Billed directly by Paramount+ | The charge may identify Paramount+ without Roku and will not appear in Roku purchase history. | Contact Paramount+ for billing help. |
Do not assume every statement containing “CBS Interactive” came through Roku. Confirm the complete descriptor and invoice; the billing route determines which company can manage the charge.
How to stop a Roku-billed Paramount+ renewal
- On the Roku device associated with the subscription, highlight the Paramount+ app.
- Press the Star button on the remote.
- Select Manage subscription.
- Select Turn off auto-renew and follow the on-screen confirmation.
Roku says access continues until the current billing cycle ends after auto-renew is turned off. If the subscription is billed directly by Paramount+ instead, use Paramount+’s billing support rather than Roku’s subscription controls.

Could a $1 charge be something else?
Roku says a $1.00 card charge may be a temporary authorization hold used to validate a payment method; the hold is refunded. This is different from a recurring Paramount+ subscription charge. Check the account history and the charge’s status before treating a single $1 authorization as a subscription renewal.

What to do if you still cannot identify the charge
- Review the invoice in every Roku account that may be used in your household.
- Check whether another household member made the purchase on a different Roku account or device.
- If the matching charge is absent from Roku history and the statement does not include Roku, contact Paramount+ to investigate direct billing.
- For shared devices, Roku recommends setting a PIN for purchases and subscriptions to help prevent accidental purchases.
