A LinkedIn Company Page is an organization’s official presence on LinkedIn. It represents a business, school, brand, or other organization—not an individual—and gives members a place to learn about the organization, see its updates and job opportunities, and find information about its business, brand, products, or services. Creating one is free, though some related features and Page types have separate requirements.
What does a LinkedIn Company Page do?
LinkedIn describes a Page as an organization’s official presence on the platform, separate from the personal profiles members use. A Company Page can share posts, provide analytics, and include a call to action. Depending on its configuration, it can also help visitors learn about the organization’s work, culture, products or services, and job openings. These are tools for presenting and managing an organization’s presence; they do not guarantee reach, leads, or business results. LinkedIn Page types and their functions and LinkedIn Pages FAQs
How is a Company Page different from a personal profile?
A personal profile represents a real individual and is managed through that member’s account. A Company Page represents an organization and is managed by members who have been assigned Page admin roles. LinkedIn says a personal profile cannot be converted into a Page; organizations should create a Page rather than use a personal profile as the business’s identity. Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
A Page does not have its own separate login credentials or shared Page password. Admins access it through their individual LinkedIn profiles. A super admin can assign roles, and a member who needs access can request it. LinkedIn warns against sharing account credentials. Understand admin access for LinkedIn Pages
Is a LinkedIn Company Page free?
Yes. LinkedIn says creating a Page is free. LinkedIn also offers an optional Premium Company Page subscription; that is separate from basic Page creation. Check LinkedIn’s current documentation for the subscription’s price and included features, which can change. LinkedIn Pages FAQs and LinkedIn Page types and their functions
How to create a LinkedIn Company Page
You need a LinkedIn account and must confirm that you have authority to act for the organization. LinkedIn’s documented process assigns the person who creates the Page the super admin role. The available Page types and interface details may change, so follow the current options shown in LinkedIn. Create a LinkedIn Page
- Sign in to your LinkedIn account.
- Start the Page creation flow and choose the appropriate Page type.
- Enter the requested organization identity, organization details, and Page profile information.
- Confirm that you are authorized to act for the organization, then create the Page.
- Review the Page and assign additional admins if needed.
LinkedIn’s cited instructions describe creation on desktop and in the iOS app, but not on Android mobile devices. Because app support can change, check LinkedIn Help if you are creating a Page from a phone.

Page permissions are assigned to members’ accounts, not to a shared Page login. LinkedIn documents three core roles. The precise permission matrix can change, and some features depend on the Page type. LinkedIn Page admin roles permissions
Rank #4
| Role | Typical scope |
|---|---|
| Super admin | Broad Page control, including editing Page information and managing other admins. |
| Content admin | Create and manage Page content. |
| Analyst | Access Page analytics to monitor performance. |
LinkedIn’s permissions documentation lists viewing and exporting analytics for all three roles. The admin view brings together Page tasks such as settings, posts, and analytics, but available tools vary by role and Page type. LinkedIn describes analytics for areas including competitors, content, followers, leads, and visitors; eligibility conditions apply to some features.
