Alphabet—not Google Cloud or any single product—reported its first-ever $100 billion quarter in Q3 2025. On the October 29, 2025 earnings call, Google CEO Sundar Pichai described a broad AI strategy that CRN grouped into six business-facing areas: AI experiences, computing infrastructure, research, quantum computing, Google Cloud, and Gemini products. The six-part list is CRN’s framing, not a formal Google product taxonomy.
What the $100 billion figure refers to
Pichai said Alphabet delivered its first-ever quarter with revenue above $100 billion in Q3 2025. He compared that with roughly $50 billion in quarterly revenue five years earlier, saying Alphabet’s revenue had doubled. The milestone refers to Alphabet’s consolidated quarterly revenue; it is not Google Cloud revenue or a measure of sales for a particular AI product. Alphabet investor relations

How Pichai connected the six areas
Pichai presented Google’s approach as a full stack: infrastructure supports research and model development; models and tools feed into products and platforms. In his words, “Our full stack approach spans AI infrastructure, world class research, including models and tooling, and our products and platforms that bring AI to people everywhere.”
#1 Best Overall
That framework helps explain why the six areas span both technical foundations and services people use. The categories are CRN’s way of organizing Pichai’s remarks, rather than six separately announced product lines.
The six business-facing areas in the remarks
1. AI in Search and other experiences
Pichai described AI as influencing Google’s products broadly. The earnings discussion included Search features such as AI Overviews and AI Mode, positioning AI as part of how people interact with Search. Any usage or query statements tied to these features describe the Q3 2025 reporting period; they should not be read as current metrics.
2. AI infrastructure, TPUs, and GPUs
The infrastructure discussion covered Google’s data centers, Nvidia GPUs, and Google’s own Tensor Processing Units (TPUs), including the Ironwood generation. Pichai also discussed cloud GPU instances. These are computing resources used to support Google’s services and offered to cloud customers—not consumer devices or stand-alone consumer products in this account.
3. AI research, models, and tools
Pichai’s full-stack description included research, models, and tooling. The Q3 2025 remarks discussed Google’s generative models and related tools, including Gemini. Product names, usage figures, and any launch expectations mentioned in that call belong to that historical period; the remarks alone do not establish present-day availability or capabilities.
Rank #3
Google reported that more than 13 million developers had built with its generative models by the time of the Q3 2025 call. That is a company-reported figure, not an independently measured count.
4. Quantum computing
Pichai cited Google’s Willow quantum chip and a result from an algorithm comparison. The performance claim was made by Google; the earnings remarks do not independently validate it. It is best understood as a company-stated research result, not a general benchmark of practical business computing performance.
5. Google Cloud
Google Cloud featured as the enterprise side of the portfolio, combining cloud services, AI infrastructure, and access to Google’s models. Pichai said that more than 70% of existing Google Cloud customers used Google AI products during the period he was discussing. This is Google’s reported adoption figure for Q3 2025, not an independent market-wide measure.
6. Gemini app and Gemini Enterprise
The remarks covered both the consumer Gemini app and Gemini Enterprise, a workplace offering. They are distinct: the app is for individual users, while Gemini Enterprise is positioned for organizations. Google reported more than 650 million monthly active users for the Gemini app in Q3 2025; that company-reported, period-specific figure should not be treated as a current total or as a count of enterprise customers.

Other Q3 2025 figures Pichai cited
Several figures in the call illustrate the scale Google attributed to its AI activity. Each is a company-reported figure for the Q3 2025 remarks, not an independent assessment:
- Google said it processed over 1.3 quadrillion tokens monthly across its services, compared with 980 trillion in July.
- Google said more than 230 million videos had been generated with Veo 3.
- Google reported that more than 13 million developers had built with its generative models.
- Google said more than 70% of existing Google Cloud customers used its AI products.
- Google reported over 650 million monthly active users for the Gemini app.
These measures describe different things—processing volume, generated content, developer activity, cloud-customer adoption, and consumer app activity—so they should not be combined into one measure of business adoption.
What business readers can take from the strategy
The practical point is the breadth of the portfolio Pichai described. Google’s strategy links underlying compute, research and model development, and delivery through cloud and user-facing products. For businesses, Google Cloud and Gemini Enterprise are the enterprise-oriented offerings in this six-area framing; the Gemini app is a separate consumer product. The remarks describe strategic scope and company-reported activity, not a comparative evaluation of products or proof that one approach outperforms alternatives.
