A 6.75-inch phone screen is measured diagonally; it does not tell you the phone’s width, height, or whether it will fit your hand or pocket. For those questions, check the exact model’s body dimensions, then try its reach and fit with the case and pockets you actually use.
What does 6.75 inches mean on a phone?
It is the diagonal measurement of the display, not the length or width of the phone. Screen shape, aspect ratio, bezels, and rounded corners differ between models, so two phones with the same diagonal can have different external dimensions. HONOR’s comparison page describes a 6.75-inch display measurement based on the standard rectangle and notes that the viewable area is slightly smaller. To judge physical size, look up the manufacturer’s measurements for the exact phone: width, height, and thickness. Apple’s iPhone 16 specifications show how those figures are separate from screen diagonal: the phone has a 6.1-inch display and measures 71.6 mm wide, 147.6 mm high, and 7.80 mm deep. Is a 6.75-inch phone too big for one hand?
There is no answer based on diagonal alone. Comfort depends on your hand, how you grip the phone, how far your thumb reaches, and what you do on screen. A larger display may be convenient for reading, streaming, gaming, or work, while one-handed typing and reaching controls can be less comfortable for some people.

Samsung UK’s buying guide says people who usually use a phone one-handed should consider screens from 4.5 to 6.7 inches. That is Samsung’s buying advice, not a universal limit or a clinical ergonomic standard; a 6.75-inch display is just above the guide’s suggested range. Try the phone using your normal grip
- Hold the exact phone as you normally would, ideally with the case you expect to use.
- Sweep your thumb across the screen and try reaching common controls, including ones near the top and opposite edge.
- Notice whether you can make those reaches without shifting the phone in your hand. Repeat the movements you use most, such as browsing or typing.
This is a practical personal check, not a validated ergonomic test. Samsung’s guide offers the middle-of-screen reach as a rule of thumb, but your routine tasks and grip matter too.

Will a 6.75-inch phone fit in your pocket?
The screen diagonal cannot establish pocket fit. It depends on the phone’s actual height, width, and thickness, the case, and the particular garment and pocket. Samsung’s guidance links easier pocket fit with choosing a smaller screen, but that does not guarantee how any specific phone will fit your clothes.

Check whether it sits comfortably when you stand and move; pocket depth and cut vary, so a fit in one pair of trousers does not guarantee a fit in another.

What to compare before choosing
