The men’s and women’s 200 m finals at the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 took place on September 19, 2025, so there is no live final to watch now. Official schedules documented free live coverage in Japan and Australia at the time, but they do not confirm that either service still has a free replay. For a replay, check the official World Athletics video listings and the broadcaster for your country; availability may be restricted by location and can change.

Where to look for the 200 m final replays

There is no verified free stream that works worldwide. World Athletics warns that viewing rights vary by country: a local service may carry a live broadcast, highlights, or different coverage, and geo-restrictions may apply. Check the World Athletics Tokyo 25 event page and your local broadcaster’s listings for current access.

Location or service What official sources documented What to know now
Japan: TBS and TVer The JAAF timetable listed TBS live coverage and a TVer simulcast for the September 19 session, along with TVer highlights and catch-up viewing. The listed broadcast window was 18:30–22:54 JST, covering both finals. (JAAF timetable) The timetable documents the original broadcast, not whether either final remains available free in TVer’s catalog.
Australia: SBS SBS announced that all 14 sessions would be live and free on SBS VICELAND and SBS On Demand, with the 100 m and 200 m finals also on its main channel. (SBS announcement) This confirms the original live offer, not present-day replay access or its price.
Official World Athletics videos Official YouTube results list full men’s and women’s 200 m heats, semifinals, and finals. (World Athletics video listings) Check whether the specific final is available in your country and whether it is free. Video descriptions direct viewers to World Athletics+ for exclusive videos and streams; they do not establish that these finals are currently free to watch.

Which finals were held, and when?

Both finals were scheduled for Friday, September 19, 2025. The Japan Association of Athletics Federations (JAAF) timetable lists the men’s final at 22:06 JST and the women’s final at 22:22 JST. TBS’s event schedule also places both finals on Day 7, September 19. (JAAF timetable; TBS schedule)

For schedule context, the men’s and women’s 200 m heats were on September 17 and the semifinals on September 18, according to TBS’s schedule. The championship itself ran September 13–21, 2025. (World Athletics event page)

How to check for a legitimate replay

  1. Start with your country’s official rights-holder. Use the World Athletics event viewing information and local listings to identify the service serving your location; coverage may be live in one country and highlights-only in another. (World Athletics event page)
  2. Search the broadcaster’s archive for both races. Look specifically for “men’s 200 m final” and “women’s 200 m final.” An announcement that a session aired live does not prove that the replay is still available.
  3. Check World Athletics’ official video listings. Open the specific final listing and confirm that playback works in your location and whether it requires World Athletics+ or another form of access. (World Athletics video listings)
  4. Verify access before relying on a stream. Confirm that the page is an official broadcaster or World Athletics service, that it contains the full final rather than highlights, and that any sign-in, subscription, or geographic restrictions are clear.

What “free stream” means for this event

“Free” describes the historical broadcast offers in Japan and Australia, not a confirmed universal or current replay. Japan’s JAAF timetable listed broadcast and catch-up options for the event session; SBS said its Australian live coverage would be free. Neither source establishes the present status of its archive. World Athletics’ general live guide describes free streams for some events, subject to geographic restrictions, but does not confirm free access to these completed Tokyo 25 finals.
