The vivo X300 and the moto g max 5G are not priced in the same market, and the official pages for each phone quote prices in different currencies, so a true same-country price difference cannot be calculated from manufacturer sources. The specifications do show a clear split. The X300 is the smaller phone, with a 6.31-inch AMOLED screen, a Dimensity 9500 chipset, and a camera system with a 200MP main sensor. The moto g max has a larger 6.72-inch LCD and a 7000mAh battery with 30W charging. Use the specification comparison to choose between their trade-offs, and use the price section to see exactly which prices can and cannot be compared.
Which models and markets this comparison covers
- vivo X300. The China specification page is the main source for the figures below. vivo India’s shop lists the X300 5G with a 6.31-inch AMOLED display, Dimensity 9500 chipset, 12GB or 16GB RAM, and 90W FlashCharge. Where India and China details differ, this article says so.
- moto g max. Motorola India’s support page is the main source for the moto g max. The sources reviewed name the model “moto g max” without a 5G label in the listing text, so confirm the 5G designation, network bands, and variant on the local product page before buying.
- Market variation. Motorola states that some specifications may vary by market. Motorola Brazil’s 2026 announcement lists durability ratings for the Brazil product, and those ratings should not be assumed for every regional version.

Display and size
The X300 is the more compact phone: 6.31 inches against 6.72 inches, and its AMOLED panel uses per-pixel light emission, which generally gives deeper blacks and higher contrast than an LCD. The moto g max’s LCD panel is the simpler technology, but its larger screen suits video and multitasking for buyers who want more space. Both panels support 120Hz refresh rates, although the X300’s range is listed as 1–120Hz, meaning it can drop to lower rates to save power.
Chipset, memory and storage
The Dimensity 9500 in the X300 and the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 in the moto g max sit in different performance classes. The X300 also offers more RAM and storage, with 12GB or 16GB of memory and up to 1TB of storage, while the moto g max starts at 6GB and 128GB. The moto g max’s RAM Boost feature extends memory by using storage, which helps multitasking but does not replace physical RAM. Hardware specifications do not establish speed or sustained performance in real use, and no hands-on benchmark testing was carried out for this comparison.
Battery and charging
The moto g max has the larger battery rating at 7000mAh, while the X300’s typical rating is 6040mAh and its rated figure is 5925mAh. The X300 charges much faster on paper, at 90W wired against 30W. Battery endurance depends on screen size, chipset efficiency, and software, so a larger rated capacity does not guarantee longer use. Neither source reports measured endurance.

Cameras
The X300’s camera hardware is the most detailed part of its listing: a 200MP main sensor, a 50MP telephoto, a 50MP ultra-wide, and a 50MP front camera. Motorola’s listing gives less detail, with the primary sensor’s megapixel count not stated and an 8MP ultra-wide plus a 32MP front camera. Sensor specifications alone do not show how either phone performs in low light, zoom, or video, and no camera test results were reviewed.
Software support and durability
Motorola’s stated update commitment for the moto g max is two OS upgrades and three years of security maintenance releases, and Motorola’s India page lists Android 16. vivo’s pages reviewed here do not state an operating system version or update promise for the X300, so buyers should check the vivo support page for their market. The IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings and MIL-STD-810H rating in Motorola’s Brazil announcement apply to that product, and the local documentation should be checked before assuming the same rating elsewhere.

Price context: why there is no same-market difference to calculate
The available official prices come from different countries, currencies, and dates, and they are not comparable with each other. Subtracting a yuan figure from a rupee figure or a real figure would produce a number with no practical meaning. The table lists each price as published.

| vivo X300, China launch (vivo announcement) | CNY 4,399 (12GB+256GB) to CNY 5,799 (16GB+1TB), five configurations | Announced October 13, 2025; on sale in China from October 17, 2025 |
| vivo X300, China specification page | CNY 4,599 (12GB+256GB) to CNY 6,299 (16GB+1TB), recommended retail | The page shows no publication date; this is the listed recommendation, not the launch price |
| vivo X300 5G, India (vivo Mobile India shop) | ₹93,999 for the selected 16GB+512GB variant | Listing price; volatile and may change without notice |
| moto g max, Brazil (Motorola Brazil announcement) | R$2,799 suggested price | 2026 announcement; Brazil-specific |
| moto g max, India | Not stated in Motorola India’s support page | No India price was established |
Within China, vivo’s recommended figures sit CNY 200 above the launch price at the entry configuration and CNY 500 above it at the top configuration. That is a change in vivo’s own pricing for the X300, not a comparison with the moto g max.

How to get a real price difference
- Choose your country first. Only prices from the same country, currency, and date can be subtracted.
- Check the official store or Motorola site in that country for both models on the same day. Note the price shown for each variant.
- Match configurations as closely as possible. The lowest X300 configuration has 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, while the moto g max’s listed configuration has 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, so the price gap also reflects a hardware gap.
- Confirm whether the displayed price includes local taxes and import duties, and whether the seller is the manufacturer or a third-party retailer.
- Record any launch offers, bank discounts, or exchange deals, and whether they expire.
- Check the local warranty, network bands, and the 5G designation on each listing before comparing the final prices.
Which phone fits which buyer
These are specification-based trade-offs. Neither phone was tested for camera quality, speed, or battery endurance.
- Choose the X300 if you want a compact 6.31-inch AMOLED screen, a Dimensity 9500 chipset, the more detailed camera hardware in vivo’s listing, and faster charging on paper.
- Choose the moto g max if you want a larger 6.72-inch LCD, the larger 7000mAh battery rating, and Motorola’s stated two OS upgrades and three years of security updates.
- Verify before buying the exact variant, 5G and network bands for your country, warranty terms, and whether your local listing includes the wireless charging and durability ratings described in this article.
For the price difference itself, the comparison only becomes meaningful once you have current prices for both models in your own country, using the steps above.
