The vivo X200 FE and OnePlus 15R do not produce a clean price winner, and no current rupee gap can be stated honestly from the figures available. On the India specifications we could verify, the vivo X200 FE is the more compact phone and the only one whose documented rear cameras include a 3x periscope telephoto lens. The OnePlus 15R’s headline is its Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 platform and, per a May 2026 review, a larger battery and screen. The steps below explain how to compare the two on the same day, in the same market, under matching conditions.
Specs side by side
Values for the vivo X200 FE come from vivo India’s product specification page for the Indian model. Values for the OnePlus 15R come from OnePlus India’s product page where it gives them. Where OnePlus’s India page did not confirm a value, the table uses a TechRadar review published 9 May 2026, a secondary source labelled as such. Where no source confirmed a value, the cell says so.

Chip, memory and storage
The X200 FE uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300+ on a 4nm process, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. vivo India sells it in two configurations, 12GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB. OnePlus markets the 15R on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 with LPDDR5X Ultra and UFS 4.1.

This comparison does not rely on benchmark results, so no speed ranking is claimed. UFS 4.1 is the newer storage standard than UFS 3.1, which mainly affects read and write speeds; how much that shows up in daily use depends on each phone’s implementation.

Cameras: what the periscope lens changes
vivo’s specification page lists a 50MP Sony IMX921 main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 50MP Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto with OIS and 3x optical zoom on the X200 FE. The front camera is a 50MP autofocus unit.
The 15R review lists a 50MP wide camera and an 8MP ultrawide, with a 32MP front camera, and no telephoto lens. That makes the telephoto hardware the clearest documented camera difference. It does not show which phone takes better photos. Image quality depends on sensor tuning and processing, and this article has no sourced side-by-side camera test of these two models.

A 3x optical telephoto gives tighter framing without digital cropping, which helps with portraits, events and distant subjects. If you rarely shoot beyond the main lens, the periscope may add little to your daily use.
Battery and charging: capacity is not endurance
vivo India lists the X200 FE at 6500mAh typical and 6340mAh rated, with 90W FlashCharge and no wireless charging. The TechRadar review reports the 15R at 7400mAh with 80W wired charging.

Two points keep these numbers in context. vivo publishes two battery figures, so its typical value is not a like-for-like match for the single figure in the review. Second, endurance depends on the display and software as much as on capacity. The 15R’s 165Hz panel is faster than the X200 FE’s 120Hz, and a higher refresh rate can draw more power in use. A larger battery number therefore does not confirm longer life, and neither charging figure proves a faster charge in practice without timed tests of both phones.
Display and build
The X200 FE has a 6.31-inch AMOLED panel at 2640×1216 with a 120Hz refresh rate. vivo’s local product page describes up to 5000 nits of peak brightness. That is a manufacturer’s peak figure, not typical or sustained brightness. The phone measures 150.83×71.76×7.99mm, weighs 186g, and is rated IP68 and IP69 for dust and water resistance.

The 15R review describes a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel at 1272×2800 and 165Hz, which is a noticeably larger screen. OnePlus’s India dimensions, weight and IP rating were not confirmed in the sources checked, so a numeric size or weight comparison is not yet possible. What can be said is that the X200 FE has the smaller screen and the more fully documented compact body.

vivo India lists the X200 FE with Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15. The software version and update commitment for the 15R were not confirmed in the sources checked, so this article makes no claim about which phone will receive updates for longer. Check OnePlus India’s product page and its published update policy before deciding on this point.

No verified, same-day, matched price pair exists in the evidence. The figures below are dated and come from different kinds of sources, so they cannot be subtracted from one another.

The two OnePlus figures conflict with each other, and the vivo figure is a launch-era number. None of them shows what either phone costs today. A review-era price and a later listing may reflect different configurations, sellers or dates, so no rupee gap should be published from these numbers.
How to measure the price difference on purchase day
- Open the X200 FE and the 15R product pages on vivo’s India online store and OnePlus’s India online store.
- Select the same RAM and storage on both. For the X200 FE that means 12GB + 256GB or 16GB + 512GB. If the OnePlus configuration does not match, note the mismatch and do not compare the prices as equal.
- Record the listed price and the selling price for each phone before any offer is applied.
- Record bank offers separately. Note the card type, the minimum spend, and whether the discount applies to the full amount or only to an EMI plan.
- Record exchange offers separately. Exchange values depend on your old phone’s model and condition, so treat them as conditional.
- Check whether a coupon is needed to reach the displayed price.
- Repeat the check on a retailer listing for each phone and note the seller name.
- Compare the effective price of each phone under identical conditions, and record the date you checked.
