The vivo T4R 5G is the better fit if you want an AMOLED screen, a lighter phone, or the manufacturer’s listed OIS main camera. Choose the vivo T5x 5G if its larger stated battery, UFS 3.1 storage, or newer listed Android version matters more. Both list 44W charging and closely related Dimensity 7400-series processors; neither has a proven performance or battery-life advantage here. Official-store price results conflict, so check the exact variant at checkout rather than relying on a fixed price gap.

Which phone has the better display?
The T4R has the stronger published display specification for a display-first buyer: its AMOLED panel is slightly larger and has a higher stated resolution than the T5x’s LCD. Both list a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, although vivo states 120Hz for the T4R and “up to 120Hz” for the T5x. The specifications alone do not establish differences in brightness, color accuracy, or outdoor readability.

Battery capacity and charging
The T5x lists a 7200mAh battery, compared with 5700mAh in the T4R—a nominal capacity difference of 1500mAh. Both list 44W charging. Capacity does not by itself show how long a phone lasts between charges; screen settings, network conditions, software, and use affect runtime, and no comparable battery test is available here.
Processor, storage, and software
vivo lists a Dimensity 7400 in the T4R and a Dimensity 7400-Turbo in the T5x. Both are identified as 4nm, eight-core chips with the same published CPU clock layout: 4 × 2.6GHz plus 4 × 2.0GHz. The “Turbo” name is not a measured comparison, so these figures do not prove which phone performs better in games or everyday tasks.

The T5x lists UFS 3.1 storage, while the T4R lists UFS 2.2. That is a meaningful difference in the stated storage standard, but actual experience depends on the task and device configuration. Compare RAM and storage at the same price: T4R configurations start at 8GB RAM, while the T5x lists a 6GB option; both go up to 256GB storage.
The listed software versions are Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15 on the T4R and Android 16 with Origin OS 6.0 on the T5x. This makes the T5x the newer Android version on the specification pages. The pages cited here do not establish an update schedule or support period, so check vivo’s current update policy if that is important to your purchase.

Camera hardware: what the specifications establish
Both phones list a 50MP main rear camera, a 2MP bokeh camera, and a 32MP front camera. The T4R’s official store listing identifies its main camera as a Sony OIS camera; vivo’s T5x specification page identifies a Sony IMX852 50MP main sensor. OIS is a stated feature of the T4R’s main camera, but megapixel counts and sensor naming do not establish which phone takes better photos. That would require comparable camera testing.
Size, fingerprint reader, and protection
The T4R is listed at 183.5g and 0.739–0.761cm thick, with the thickness varying by color. The T5x is listed at 219g and 0.839cm thick, making the T4R lighter and thinner on vivo’s published figures. The T4R uses an optical fingerprint reader under the display; the T5x uses a side-mounted reader, so the preference is largely about placement.

Both vivo parameter pages list IP68/IP69 protection. Treat that as the manufacturer’s stated ingress-protection rating, not a reason to deliberately expose a phone to water or dust; the cited specifications do not provide conditions for such use.
Price difference: check the exact variant
There is no dependable price gap to quote from the available official-store results. The vivo Official E-Store showed the T4R 8GB+128GB Arctic White at ₹22,999 and the Twilight Blue variant at ₹23,499. For the T5x 6GB+128GB, one official detail page showed ₹45,999 while an official catalog result showed ₹27,999. These are conflicting page displays observed around two to three weeks before October 7, 2026—not a verified, synchronized checkout price list.

Before comparing value, check the same-day checkout price for the exact RAM, storage, and color variant on the T4R store listing and T5x store listing, or the official phone catalog. Include any bank, exchange, or promotional terms that apply; do not subtract the displayed figures above to infer a current price difference.
Which one should you choose?
- Choose the T4R if you prioritize AMOLED, a lighter and thinner listed body, an in-display fingerprint reader, or the manufacturer’s OIS specification for its main camera.
- Choose the T5x if you prioritize greater nominal battery capacity, UFS 3.1 storage, the newer listed Android version, or a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
- Compare exact configurations before paying if price is decisive: the RAM options differ, and the official store results do not establish a consistent T5x price.
The T4R store listing says its box includes a phone case and a protective film already applied. Confirm the box contents for the selected listing and market before buying accessories.
