The vivo T5 Pro 5G launched ₹5,000 above the T3 Pro 5G at the shared 8GB/128GB tier: ₹29,999 versus ₹24,999 in India. That extra launch cost buys a much larger battery, faster charging, a sharper 144 Hz display, a newer processor and a newer software generation. The T3 Pro’s clearest counterpoint is its listed 8 MP ultrawide camera. These are launch-price comparisons, not a statement of today’s prices.
How much more did the vivo T5 Pro cost at launch?

Does the T5 Pro’s battery and display justify the higher price?

The T5 Pro has a 9,020 mAh battery versus 5,500 mAh in the T3 Pro, and supports 90W charging versus 80W. On capacity and rated charging power alone, the T5 Pro is the stronger choice for buyers who prioritize fewer charging interruptions and faster top-ups. Actual battery life and charging time depend on usage and conditions, so the capacity figures do not establish a guaranteed runtime.
For context, vivo’s April 2026 launch announcement claims up to 37 hours of video playback, up to 12.6 hours of gaming and up to 50% charge in 37 minutes for the T5 Pro. Display
The T5 Pro’s 144 Hz, 2800 × 1260 AMOLED specification is a clear step up on paper from the T3 Pro’s 120 Hz, 2392 × 1080 AMOLED panel. A higher refresh rate can make supported motion appear smoother, while the higher resolution provides more pixels. The practical difference depends on content, settings and app support; specifications alone do not establish a measured visual-quality advantage.

The T3 Pro uses a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 platform, while the T5 Pro moves to Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. vivo’s launch releases cite AnTuTu scores of 820,000+ for the T3 Pro in 2024 and 1.2 million for the T5 Pro in 2026. These are vivo’s claims from different launch periods, not an independent head-to-head benchmark under matched conditions, so they should not be read as a precise measure of the T5 Pro’s real-world speed advantage.

Neither phone is an automatic photography winner from megapixel counts alone. Both list a 50 MP main camera, and vivo identifies OIS on the T3 Pro’s Sony IMX882 main camera and on the T5 Pro’s 50 MP Sony IMX882. The notable configuration difference is the T3 Pro’s 8 MP ultrawide camera, which gives it a specifically listed option for wider scenes.

Choose the T3 Pro if
- A lower price matters more, and you find a current in-stock offer that makes the older model worthwhile.
- You value having a specifically listed 8 MP ultrawide camera.
- You are comfortable with its smaller stated battery, 80W charging and 120 Hz FHD+ display.
The T5 Pro’s specification upgrades make the ₹5,000 difference at the shared 8GB/128GB launch tier easier to justify for buyers focused on battery, display and platform.
