The vivo S60 series announced in China comprises two distinct phones: the standard vivo S60 and the S60 Vitality Edition. The standard model has a third-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s platform and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera; the Vitality Edition uses a MediaTek Dimensity 7500. vivo lists series-wide highlights including a 6.59-inch display with up to 144Hz refresh rate, a 7,200mAh battery, 90W charging, and IP68/IP69 ratings. These are China-market launch details, not confirmation of an international release or global compatibility.
vivo S60 series launch and model names
vivo announced the S60 series in China on May 29, 2026, opened pre-orders that day, and scheduled sales to begin June 3, 2026. The official announcement names the standard vivo S60 and the vivo S60 Vitality Edition. It does not establish an “S60t” model name. The term “5G” appears in some third-party coverage, but vivo’s announcement does not provide network-band details or establish international availability.
The specifications below are manufacturer-stated launch information. Where vivo’s announcement does not provide a detail, it is better not to infer it from another S60-family listing.

Display and design
vivo lists a 6.59-inch display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, hardware-level low-blue-light support, and a minimum brightness of 1 nit. The launch announcement does not state the screen resolution.
The announced colors are Starry Sea, Early Summer Green, and Midsummer Night. vivo describes a cold-carved glass back and metal frame. For the Early Summer Green and Midsummer Night finishes, it gives a thickness as low as 7.79mm; that figure should not be generalized to every color. The announcement does not provide a complete dimensions-and-weight table for all finishes.

Camera features: what is confirmed for the standard S60
vivo highlights two 50MP cameras on the standard S60: a main camera with gimbal-level stabilization and three-degree OIS, and a Sony periscope telephoto camera. vivo also attributes CIPA 5.0 stabilization to the standard model. These are manufacturer claims; the launch information does not constitute independent camera testing.
The announced imaging features include 4K Live output, 4K Starry Light Live, Live color controls, creative stickers, portrait features, and a spatial-image feature. vivo says S60-series users can share spatial images to Xiaohongshu. These software features should not be mistaken for additional camera hardware specifications.

Do not assume the Vitality Edition has the same cameras
The Vitality Edition is a separate model. Its chipset and price differ from the standard S60, and the launch announcement does not provide a full model-specific camera table for it. The standard S60’s periscope and gimbal-camera details therefore should not be transferred to the Vitality Edition.
Performance, battery, charging, and durability
The standard S60 uses Qualcomm’s third-generation Snapdragon 8s mobile platform; the Vitality Edition uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 7500. vivo lists a 7,200mAh battery and 90W flash charging for the series, along with a large VC liquid-cooling system.

vivo also lists IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance, ultrasonic fingerprint 2.0, and SGS whole-device drop-resistance certification. These are manufacturer-stated specifications and certification references, not independent test results. No battery-life measurement or charging-time result is provided in the launch announcement.
Software and update context
The launch announcement names OriginOS 6. An October 4, 2026 report by iTechGuides says the standard S60 launched with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 and that OriginOS 7 rollout was scheduled to begin later. A scheduled rollout is not proof that an update has reached a particular handset: current availability can depend on model and region.

What the published specifications do not establish
vivo’s launch announcement is a launch overview rather than a complete technical sheet. It does not give a display resolution, full camera-sensor table, network bands, complete dimensions and weight for every color, included-in-box accessories, or independently measured battery life. Those details matter when considering an import: confirm the exact model and market with the seller, and check local network support, warranty coverage, and current availability before buying. The announcement does not verify compatibility with a particular marketplace listing or accessory.

The announcement states the series slogan as “我喜欢我，有独特星光” (“I like myself; I have a unique starlight”); this is a campaign line, not a quote attributed to an individual spokesperson.
A third-party page titled “vivo S60 5G – Full Specifications” lists 120Hz and 7,000mAh, figures that conflict with vivo’s stated up-to-144Hz display and 7,200mAh series battery. For those specifications, vivo’s launch announcement is the cited basis here.
