Add more wait time for slow content; use an action for a cookie banner, login, click, navigation or scroll; and test proxy or checking-location settings if you see a security challenge or geo-block. The preview and any error message help narrow down the cause.
1. Inspect the job preview
Open the affected job’s preview and identify what Visualping actually captured. An entirely white image, partially rendered page, consent overlay, login screen, security challenge and visible error point to different troubleshooting paths. Visualping notes that automatic load detection does not ensure every page element has loaded.
Keep the page URL, preview and any displayed error message handy. Without those details, it is not possible to determine the cause for a particular monitor.
2. Give slow pages and dynamic content more time
If the page is still loading, or the main content appears only after scripts run, increase the wait time in Advanced Settings. You can also add a Wait action to the job. Visualping recommends allowing additional time when elements have not loaded by capture time.

3. Handle pages that need an interaction
Some sites do not show the content you want until a visitor dismisses a banner, signs in, chooses an option, navigates to a page or scrolls. Configure the relevant Visualping action before capture:
- Cookie: handle a consent prompt.
- Click: activate a button or dismiss an overlay.
- Type or Select: enter text or choose a form option.
- Go to: navigate to the page or URL that contains the target content.
- Scroll: bring content into view when the site loads it as the visitor scrolls.
- Wait: let the page update after an interaction.
Visualping replays configured actions before taking screenshots. Check the job preview and correct any warnings or steps that no longer match the page.
4. Record repeatable browser steps
For a sequence of interactions that is awkward to configure manually, Visualping’s Record action can capture steps such as dismissing a consent banner, selecting a product option or logging in. Recording requires the Visualping Chrome extension. After saving the steps, inspect the baseline or job preview and fix any failed or outdated interactions before relying on the capture.
5. Troubleshoot bot checks and location-specific blocks
If the preview shows a bot check, security challenge or geo-block rather than the target page, test Visualping’s documented proxy and checking-location options. Try Basic Proxy or a checking location in another country—or in the website’s country. You can also test disabling Block ads and cookies in Advanced Settings. These are troubleshooting options, not a guarantee that a site will permit a capture.

6. Compare local and cloud monitoring
Visualping’s Local monitoring runs on your machine and requires the browser to remain open; Cloud monitoring runs on Visualping’s servers independently of your browser. If the problem happens only in one mode, comparing the two can help isolate whether the local browser context is relevant. The mode difference alone does not establish the cause.
7. Contact Visualping support with useful details
If the preview remains blank after these checks, Visualping asks users to provide the page URL, what they were trying to do and any error messages. Include the affected job preview and the settings or actions you tried; that gives support information to investigate the specific case.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can Visualping’s automatic load detection still produce an incomplete screenshot?
Yes. Visualping says some elements may not load even when the system auto-detects whether a page has finished loading.
Does changing from Local to Cloud monitoring prove what caused a blank capture?
No. Comparing modes can help frame diagnosis, but the difference does not by itself identify the cause.
