Choose an Unspam.email alternative by the job you need done: score a message before sending, see where test copies land, check how an email renders, or track deliverability on a schedule. Product Hunt’s alternatives page includes tools from several categories, so its listings are a starting point for discovery—not evidence that every product does the same thing or performs equally well.
What Unspam.email does
Unspam describes its service as an email deliverability platform for marketers, founders, agencies, and product teams. Its listed functions include spam testing, sender-authentication and blacklist checks, email previews, heatmaps, and inbox-placement testing. The homepage also offers a no-signup test: generate a unique test address, send a message to it from your usual sending address or platform, then review a spam score and report. These are descriptions from the vendor, not independently audited performance claims. See Unspam’s homepage and About page.
The right alternative depends on which of these distinct questions you need answered:
- Is this message likely to trigger deliverability problems? A spam test evaluates a single message against signals such as authentication, content, blacklists, and HTML.
- Where did test copies arrive? An inbox-placement test sends a campaign to seed mailboxes and reports whether copies reached Inbox, Promotions, Spam, or were missing.
- Will the message display correctly? A preview checks rendering across email clients and devices.
- Is performance changing over time? Monitoring repeats measurements on a schedule and can alert on configured thresholds.
These tests measure different things. A score or seed-mailbox result cannot guarantee delivery to every recipient.

Which Unspam.email alternative fits your test?
Product Hunt currently lists Vetter, Folderly, Mailtrap, Hello Inbox, PutsMail, Spam Mail Tester, and Postmark among Unspam.email’s alternatives, alongside other products. The directory mixes deliverability services, testing and quality-assurance software, email delivery services, and broader email products. Check each product’s current feature set before treating it as a substitute; the directory is not a controlled comparison. Browse the Product Hunt alternatives list.
| Your need | What to look for | What the result tells you |
|---|---|---|
| Check one message before sending | Spam/content scoring, authentication checks, blacklist checks, and HTML inspection | Potential issues with the tested message and sender signals—not a universal delivery prediction |
| Find out where campaign copies land | Seed-list inbox placement, provider coverage, and visible provider-level results | Placement of test copies in the included mailboxes at the time of the test |
| Inspect appearance across clients | Rendering previews, screenshots, and device or client coverage | How the tested message appears in the environments the tool supports |
| Watch for changes over time | Recurring tests, alert thresholds, history, and an appropriate sending workflow | Trends or threshold breaches in the service’s repeated measurements |
| Send email as part of a broader platform | Delivery infrastructure, integrations, or APIs, depending on the product | Sending functionality may be a different category from independent testing |
For any candidate, verify the mailbox providers and mailbox types included, whether the report breaks results down by provider, whether tests are manual or recurring, and whether the tool uses test sends, an ESP connection, or an API. Also check what the report does beyond measuring a result: diagnostic recommendations may be more useful than a score alone, but vendor claims and user reviews are not proof of performance.
How Unspam’s test and monitoring workflows differ
One-off tests
Unspam’s homepage describes a no-signup test using a unique address. The pricing page also describes separate spam tests and inbox-placement tests: the former scores one message against deliverability signals; the latter sends a campaign to seed mailboxes across providers such as Gmail, Outlook, and Yahoo and reports Inbox, Promotions, Spam, or Missing outcomes. Those categories and provider examples are the vendor’s description; check the live service for current coverage and plan availability. See Unspam’s pricing page.

Unspam says its Deliverability Monitoring sends tests to its seed address daily or weekly and alerts users when configured inbox-placement or spam-score thresholds are breached. It says the monitoring service does not connect to an ESP API, warm domains, or send email on a customer’s behalf; it measures placement and spam scores. That makes it a measurement workflow, not a warmup or sending service. Details are on Unspam’s monitoring page.
The same page reports a global email deliverability health score of 88/100, attributed to the Unspam email deliverability benchmark for September 2026. Treat that as Unspam’s own benchmark figure, not an independently validated industry-wide statistic.
Plan limits and pricing: what to verify
When reviewed on October 7, 2026, Unspam’s pricing page showed a $0 no-signup option with monthly allowances, a free account with a separate monthly allowance, and a Custom plan where customers choose the number of tests and pay per test above a monthly minimum. The free-account features listed included spam tests, inbox-placement tests, device previews, screenshots, heatmaps, and an AI assistant. The Custom plan description included longer historical retention and API/MCP access. Exact limits, prices, and included features can change, so confirm the current pricing and plan details before choosing.
Rank #4
For competing tools, compare the actual monthly test quota, paid usage model, retention period, and volume-based pricing. A nominally free option may not cover recurring monitoring or the mailbox coverage your team needs; compare allowances and workflow rather than price labels alone.

How to choose without mistaking a test for a guarantee
- Define the decision you need to make. Use message scoring to diagnose a draft, placement testing to inspect seed-mailbox outcomes, previews to check rendering, and monitoring to observe changes over time.
- Match coverage to your audience. Confirm which providers and mailbox types are tested and whether you can inspect results by provider.
- Check the operating model. Determine whether you can run a one-off test, schedule repeats, connect an ESP, or use an API. Do not assume that a monitoring service sends campaigns or warms domains.
- Evaluate the report, not just its score. Look for clear diagnostics and actionable recommendations, and distinguish vendor-described features from independently verified performance.
- Confirm current limits and cost. Review test allowances, retention, and overage or volume pricing on the vendor’s current pricing page.
Product Hunt labels Unspam.email “Email spam checker and newsletter heatmap prediction,” while Unspam’s homepage currently calls it an “Email Spam Checker: Spam Score & Email Deliverability Test.” Product Hunt records the original launch on October 26, 2020, and a related Unspam AI launch on February 18, 2024. Listings, ratings, review counts, and rankings on the platform can change; they are discovery context, not comparative reliability evidence. See the Product Hunt profile.
