Choose Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection on PS5 if you want a straightforward setup and clearly defined performance modes. Choose PC if your hardware can meet your resolution and frame-rate goals and you want more control over graphics, ultra-wide displays, or input. Neither platform is a universal performance winner: the published PC figures are developer targets, not a matched-hardware comparison with PS5.
What’s included on PC and PS5?
Both editions contain the same two single-player adventures: Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, which follows Nathan Drake and his long-lost brother Sam, and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, starring Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross. The collection does not include the original games’ multiplayer modes.
How does the PS5 version perform?
PlayStation and Naughty Dog describe three selectable PS5 modes. Fidelity is the resolution-focused option; the original PlayStation announcement specifies native 4K at a 30 fps target. Performance targets 60 fps, but Naughty Dog’s support page does not specify its resolution target. Performance+ targets 120 fps at 1080p and requires a compatible 120 Hz display. Naughty Dog’s PS5 mode guidance and the PlayStation announcement describe these targets.
PS5 also offers near-instant loading, Spatial 3D Audio, and DualSense haptics and adaptive triggers. Its appeal is a small number of developer-defined choices rather than a graphics-settings exercise: pick the mode that suits your display and preference.

What can the PC version do?
PC gives you adjustable settings for textures, models, anisotropic filtering, shadows, reflections, and ambient occlusion. It supports ultra-wide monitors, FSR 2, keyboard and mouse, several gamepad types, and control remapping. PC-oriented options include GPU and VRAM detection, audio compatibility, auto-pause, variable load-speed settings, and a PC-specific interface. The game also supports DualSense haptics and adaptive triggers on PC when the controller is connected by USB cable.
More options do not guarantee better results: performance depends on the PC’s components, settings, and display. Naughty Dog published the following PC targets on September 28, 2022. They are configuration goals from the developer, not independent tests of current hardware or a direct comparison against PS5.

These tiers are useful reference points, especially for 1440p and 4K, but they do not promise the same results on every PC. The listed storage requirement is 126 GB. See Naughty Dog’s PC specifications and features for the developer’s published targets.

Which version should you play?
Pick PS5 for a simpler, predictable setup
PS5 is the practical choice if you already own the console and want to choose between resolution, a 60 fps target, and a 120 fps target without configuring PC graphics options. Performance+ makes sense only if your display supports 120 Hz and you want the 1080p high-frame-rate mode.

Pick PC for flexibility, if your hardware is up to the goal
PC is the better fit if you want ultra-wide support, graphics adjustments, FSR 2, or keyboard and mouse—and your system is appropriate for the resolution and frame rate you intend to use. Use Naughty Dog’s dated tiers as a starting reference, not proof that a particular PC will outperform a PS5. No matched-hardware comparison establishes a universal winner in image quality or performance.

At launch, PlayStation said eligible PS4 owners could upgrade to the PS5 edition for a fee. The disc-based upgrade required the PS4 disc to be inserted to download or play the PS5 digital version, so it did not work for disc-free PS5 owners. A copy of Uncharted 4 claimed through PlayStation Plus was excluded under those stated terms. These are historical launch-era rules, not confirmation of current eligibility; check your regional PlayStation Store listing before relying on an upgrade. PlayStation announced physical and digital PS5 editions in its launch announcement.
