UGREEN’s Nexode 20,000mAh 45W power bank is listed with a built-in USB-C cable, a display, USB-C charging up to 45W and USB-A output up to 22.5W. But the “2026 safety standards” part of the headline is not established for this exact model: UGREEN’s 2026 safety announcement covers different Nexode Wavy models rated at 10,000mAh/45W and 20,000mAh/55W.
What the UGREEN Nexode 20,000mAh 45W power bank offers
UGREEN’s Canada listing names the product “UGREEN Nexode Power Bank 20000mAh 45W” and identifies it as SKU 55988. Official listings in Singapore and Australia describe a Nexode 20,000mAh 45W model with a built-in USB-C cable and a display. The Singapore listing gives SKU 85515 and a weight of 380g; those are regional listing details, not confirmed universal specifications. The EU page calls the screen an LED display, while the Singapore and Australia pages call it a smart display. Ports and charging output
UGREEN lists a maximum USB-C output of 45W and a maximum USB-A output of 22.5W. The EU page says the built-in USB-C cable and the USB-C port both support PD 45W, and that the cable can be used for input as well as output. It also says the bank can charge three devices at once. However, its stated combined output when two or three ports are in use is 15W, so the single-port maximums should not be read as available to every connected device simultaneously. UGREEN says the model supports charging protocols including PPS, PD and SCP. Its Canada page also claims UL and FCC certification and lists over-current, over-voltage, over-charge, over-discharge, over-temperature and short-circuit protections. Does it meet “2026 safety standards”?
The reviewed official material does not establish that this 20,000mAh/45W power bank meets a named 2026 safety standard. UGREEN Japan’s announcement dated August 17, 2026 is for the Nexode Wavy line, not this exact capacity-and-output combination. It lists 10,000mAh/45W models in silver and black and a 20,000mAh/55W model in black. The distinction matters: the Wavy announcement cannot substantiate a safety-standard claim for the separate 20,000mAh/45W bank. UGREEN Japan’s August 17, 2026 announcement.
What UGREEN says about Wavy testing
On its DymondCell page, UGREEN describes laboratory tests and safety features for Wavy products. The company reports a 4mm nail-penetration test, 25kN (2.5-tonne) compression, 800 charge cycles without an anomaly in a lithium-plating test, overcharging at 1.3 times voltage for seven hours, and heating at 135°C for one hour, reporting no fire or explosion in those tests. UGREEN says these are laboratory verification results and warns readers not to reproduce the tests. They are company claims about Wavy safety material—not independent findings and not evidence for the 20,000mAh/45W model. The page also says an ATL cell is used only in the 10,000mAh model. Recharging, charger inclusion and availability
UGREEN’s EU listing says a 45W-or-higher charger can recharge the bank in about four hours, and specifies that the charger is not included. That is the manufacturer’s estimate under its stated charger condition; the page does not identify a particular adapter. The same EU listing displayed €39.99 and out-of-stock status when accessed in 2026, which is a time- and region-specific snapshot, not a current global price or availability guarantee. How to assess the listing before buying
- Confirm the exact model: look for Nexode, 20,000mAh and 45W together. Do not assume specifications or safety claims for the 20,000mAh/55W Nexode Wavy apply to it.
- Check multi-device output: the EU listing’s 15W combined figure for two or three ports is distinct from the per-port maximum ratings.
- Account for the recharge adapter: the EU listing says a 45W-or-higher charger is needed for its approximately four-hour recharge claim and is not included.
- Verify regional details: SKU, listed weight, screen wording, price and stock can vary by market.
- Look for model-specific documentation: if a seller claims compliance with a 2026 standard, ask for the named standard and documentation for the exact SKU and sales market; the reviewed official sources do not provide that evidence for this model.
