Following an account on Truth Social is free. Truth Social uses the word “subscribe” in its glossary to mean following an account so that its posts appear in your Home Feed; the official Help Center pages reviewed do not describe a paid follower or creator-subscription tier. You do not need a payment card to create an ordinary account.

Paid services associated with the platform are different products: Truth+ is a premium streaming subscription, and Boosted Truths is paid promotion for an individual post. Neither is a payment to follow a particular account or a guarantee that you will receive extra followers, replies or engagement.

The short answer: a Truth Social follower is not a paying subscriber

Truth Social’s account-creation FAQ says the platform “can be accessed for FREE” and that no payment or credit-card number is required. That describes normal account access, including reading posts, publishing, and following accounts.

The terminology can cause confusion because Truth Social’s glossary says, “When you follow an account you are subscribing to see the content that account posts so that you will see it in your Home Feed.” In this sentence, subscribing is the platform’s word for following. It does not describe a recurring charge, a premium badge for the account owner, or a paid exchange between a follower and a creator.

The official Help Center material reviewed does not present a paid-follower feature. It also does not establish that Truth Social could never introduce one in the future, so check current product pages if the interface or terminology changes.

What “subscribe” means in Truth Social’s interface

Following puts posts in your Home Feed

When you select Follow on an account, Truth Social treats you as a subscriber to that account’s posts. The practical result is feed delivery: posts from the account can appear in your Home Feed according to Truth Social’s feed behavior and your other settings. You are not buying access to a private archive, a members-only chat or a guaranteed response.

The account owner does not receive a subscription payment merely because you followed. Likewise, your follow does not unlock a separate paid level of the account. It is the same basic relationship that many social networks call following.

Follower and following limits are different

Truth Social’s follower FAQ says there is no maximum number of followers an account may have. The same FAQ sets limits on the accounts an individual user can follow: up to 10,000 accounts in total and no more than 250 new follows in a day. The page carries a 2025 footer, so treat those figures as platform-stated limits that may be revised rather than permanent guarantees.

Those limits concern account activity, not money. Reaching the following limit does not require an upgrade, and having a large follower count does not automatically create a paid subscription program.

How to use Truth Social without paying

Account requirements

Truth Social’s account FAQ says users must be at least 18 years old. The same page says an account can be created without entering payment information. You still need to complete the registration and any account-verification steps Truth Social requests; “free” means there is no required access fee or card charge for the ordinary service.

Basic setup

  1. Open Truth Social’s official website or its supported mobile application.
  2. Choose the account-creation option and enter the requested registration details.
  3. Complete any email, phone or security confirmation shown during setup.
  4. Sign in and search for an account you want to read.
  5. Select Follow. Truth Social may describe this action as subscribing to the account’s content, and posts can then be delivered to your Home Feed.

If the service asks for a card while you are creating an ordinary account, stop and confirm that you are on an official Truth Social screen and not in a separate paid product. The published account FAQ specifically says a payment card is not required for access.

What free access does and does not include

Free access covers the ordinary social-network functions described by the account FAQ: maintaining an account, reading available posts, publishing and following other accounts. It does not imply that every post is guaranteed to appear immediately, that every account will follow you back, or that you receive any verification status. Feed delivery remains subject to the service’s normal operation and your own account settings.

Truth Social’s paid products are separate from following

Three different activities are easy to conflate: free social-network access, a Truth+ streaming subscription and a Boosted Truths promotion. They have different benefits, locations and payment rules.

Option What you pay for Where the benefit appears Price or limit information Does it buy followers?
Ordinary Truth Social access and following Account use and delivery of followed accounts’ posts Your Truth Social Home Feed Free; no card is required for ordinary access No payment is required; following is not a paid tier
Truth+ subscription Premium streaming content, including live and previously aired programming The Truth+ streaming service or app Current Patriot Package price is not stated in the Help Center material; check checkout No; it does not purchase access to a creator’s Truth Social posts
Boosted Truths Promoted distribution for one of your posts Additional impressions for the selected post The Help Center page displayed in 2026 states $9.99 for 1,000 impressions within 24 hours, after approval No; impressions do not guarantee followers or engagement

The distinction is about the thing being purchased. A follow concerns another account’s posts. Truth+ concerns programming. A boost concerns distribution of a post you publish. Paying for one does not convert it into another.

What Truth+ includes—and what it does not

It is a streaming subscription

Truth Social describes Truth+ as a premium subscription streaming service. Its stated purpose is access to live content and previously aired shows, not enhanced following on the social network. A Truth+ payment therefore should be evaluated like a streaming purchase: identify the programs included, the billing interval and the cancellation terms before confirming checkout.

The Patriot Package and a complimentary red check

Truth Social’s verification guidance says some users who do not meet the ordinary considerations for a red check may receive a complimentary red check after subscribing to the Truth+ Patriot Package. “Complimentary” in that explanation refers to the verification mark being provided with the package; it does not turn a follower into a paying subscriber to an individual account.

The Help Center material does not state a current Patriot Package price. Do not infer a price from an old promotion, a third-party listing or a screenshot. Use the amount and inclusions displayed at the point of purchase in your country.

Verification is not automatic

Truth Social’s verification help says that submitting information does not guarantee that an account will receive red-check verification. A Patriot Package subscription may be associated with the complimentary-check offer described by Truth Social, but the published wording is not a promise that every account will receive a mark under every circumstance. Read the eligibility language shown during signup.

What a Truth+ charge will not change

A Truth+ charge does not raise the 10,000-account following limit, increase the 250-account daily follow allowance, or make another user’s posts private-access content. Those are separate social-network behaviors. If your goal is simply to see posts from an account, the account FAQ says ordinary access is free; a streaming plan adds value only if you also want the programming it advertises.

What Boosted Truths buys

Promotion of a post, not a follower relationship

Boosted Truths is an advertising-style feature for increasing the distribution of a specific post. The Help Center page displayed in 2026 states a price of $9.99 for 1,000 impressions within 24 hours, after the boost passes moderation approval. An impression means the post was displayed; it does not necessarily mean that a person clicked, read, liked, replied to or followed the account.

The stated price and delivery are platform terms, not an independent performance measurement. A boost can increase opportunities for people to see a post, but it cannot promise a particular number of followers, comments, sales or other engagement outcomes. At the stated rate, the cost is tied to a block of impressions, not to a block of new followers; one post could receive the impressions without producing any follow.

Where it is available

The Boosted Truths help page says the feature is currently available on the Truth Social website rather than in the mobile application. If you cannot find the control in the app, sign in through the website and look for the boost option on the post you own.

Typical workflow

  1. Publish the post you want to promote.
  2. On the website, open the post’s available actions and choose the Boosted Truths option if it is shown for your account.
  3. Review the displayed price, impression target, 24-hour period and any audience or policy details.
  4. Submit the promotion for moderation approval and complete payment only after checking the final total.
  5. Monitor the result as impressions and interactions. Treat the impression count as delivery information, not a follower guarantee.

Because the platform can change prices, placement and eligibility, rely on the checkout screen and the current Help Center entry rather than assuming the $9.99 terms will remain unchanged. Approval is a gate, not a promise of a particular audience response.

Billing rules to check before starting a paid service

Truth Social’s Terms of Service describe general subscription rules that apply to paid services. Subscriptions are charged automatically at the monthly or yearly frequency selected at signup. A trial or promotional period may convert to a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel before the stated deadline, unless the offer says otherwise.

The terms also describe fees as generally non-refundable, including unused portions of a subscription that you cancel. They reserve the right to change prices. These provisions explain why the amount shown when you subscribe may differ from a later renewal and why cancellation timing matters.

  • Confirm whether the offer is monthly, yearly or promotional before authorizing payment.
  • Record the renewal date and the account or store through which you subscribed.
  • Read the cancellation instructions for that billing channel; deleting the app does not necessarily cancel a subscription.
  • Save the receipt and the terms displayed at checkout, especially if a trial is involved.
  • Check the current price and package contents each time you start or renew a service.
  • Compare the benefit with your actual goal: Home Feed posts, streaming shows or post impressions.

These terms apply to paid-service billing generally. They do not create a paid way to follow a Truth Social account.

Choosing the right option for your goal

If you only want to read someone’s posts

Create a standard Truth Social account and follow the account. No payment card is required under the account FAQ, and the resulting subscription language refers to feed delivery. A Truth+ purchase would add streaming access but would not improve your ability to follow that account.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

If you want live or previously aired shows

Consider Truth+ only after checking the current package description, price and renewal interval. The relevant benefit is programming in the Truth+ service, not special access to a creator’s posts on Truth Social. Check whether the package is offered monthly or yearly and whether a promotion will renew automatically.

If you want more people to see your post

Evaluate Boosted Truths as paid distribution. Check whether the website offers it for your post, read the moderation requirements, and decide whether the stated impression target is worth the cost even if it produces no new followers. Organic posting and normal following remain separate from the promotion.

If you want a red-check verification mark

Review Truth Social’s current verification guidance. The Patriot Package description mentions a complimentary red check for some users who do not meet ordinary considerations, while the verification page warns that submitting information does not guarantee approval. Do not treat a follow, a boost or an ordinary account as a verification purchase.

If you are an account owner explaining “subscribers”

Use clear language when describing your audience. On Truth Social, a follower is a user who has subscribed to see the content on your account. That label communicates feed delivery, not that each follower has paid you. Do not promise members-only benefits or recurring income unless a current product page explicitly provides those functions.

Common mistakes and how to avoid them

Mistake: assuming “subscribe” means a paid creator tier

Look at the action’s result. If it places an account’s posts in your Home Feed, Truth Social is using “subscribe” as a synonym for follow. A paid subscription should show a price, billing interval and payment confirmation; none of those is part of the ordinary follow action described in the glossary.

Mistake: confusing followers with accounts you follow

There is no maximum number of followers an account may have according to the follower FAQ, but an individual user may follow up to 10,000 accounts and no more than 250 in one day. A limit on accounts you follow is not a chargeable capacity upgrade.

Mistake: expecting Truth+ to unlock social posts

Truth+ is described as streaming content. Before paying, confirm that the shows and live programming meet your goal. The package is not documented as a pass that unlocks another user’s Truth Social feed.

Mistake: treating impressions as guaranteed engagement

Boosted Truths counts displays. A displayed post may receive no click or interaction, so set a budget based on exposure rather than a promised follower total. Approval by moderation is required before the stated delivery period begins.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Mistake: relying on an old price

The Help Center terms allow prices to change, and the Patriot Package page reviewed does not publish a current price. Recheck the checkout screen immediately before payment and note whether the amount recurs.

Mistake: forgetting a trial’s renewal

If a promotion converts to a paid plan, cancellation must happen before the trial deadline unless the offer states a different rule. Automatic monthly or yearly billing can continue after an unused period, and the terms describe those unused portions as generally non-refundable.

Mistake: assuming app availability

Boosted Truths is described as available on the website, not the mobile app. An absent button in the app does not mean you need a paid follower plan; it may simply mean the feature is web-only or unavailable for that account.

How to verify what you are buying

  1. Identify the product name. “Follow” or “subscribe” beside an account is a feed action; “Truth+” is streaming; “Boosted Truths” is post promotion.
  2. Read the benefit statement. It should say whether you receive Home Feed posts, streaming programs or impressions for a post.
  3. Check the price, currency, billing frequency and renewal date on the final purchase screen.
  4. Look for eligibility or moderation language, including any verification disclaimer or boost approval requirement.
  5. Keep a copy of the receipt and cancellation instructions.
  6. Confirm the platform and URL before entering payment details, especially if an ordinary account-creation page unexpectedly requests a card.

This six-point check prevents the most expensive misunderstanding: paying for a separate service while expecting a paid relationship with a particular Truth Social account.
