ClaudeHub puts usage and reset information for multiple isolated Claude Code profiles in one macOS menu-bar app. It monitors those profiles; the project documentation does not describe it as a tool for switching the account that Claude Code actively uses.
What ClaudeHub tracks—and what it does not
ClaudeHub is a native macOS app for viewing usage across separate Claude Code profiles. Its menu can show five-hour and seven-day utilization windows, model-specific usage, reset countdowns, and extra-usage details when enabled for a profile.
The project documents automatic usage refreshes every five minutes, OAuth token renewal through the installed Claude Code CLI, warnings when a known refresh-token expiry is less than five days away, and a local hourly usage journal. These are documented app behaviors, not a guarantee that every value is always current. Check the measurement time and any stale-data indication in the menu.
ClaudeHub does not create Claude accounts, carry out the initial browser login, or document active-account switching. You authenticate each Claude Code profile separately, then add those existing profiles to ClaudeHub for monitoring.

Requirements
- An Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 13 or newer. The README does not list Intel Macs or Windows as supported.
- Claude Code installed and callable from the command line as
claude. - A distinct
CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIRfor every account profile you want to monitor.
ClaudeHub is distributed as a downloadable .dmg from the project’s GitHub Releases page. The project says published builds are Developer ID signed, notarized by Apple, and checked with Gatekeeper. The README describes the app as MIT-licensed.
Prepare and add multiple Claude Code profiles
- Choose a separate directory for each profile. For example, authenticate one account with
CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR="$HOME/.claude-accounts/account1" claude auth login, then complete the browser login. - Repeat the login command with a different directory for every additional account. Each directory keeps that profile separate; the project says this setup does not change the normal
~/.claudeconfiguration. - Download and open the ClaudeHub
.dmg, drag ClaudeHub into Applications, and launch it. - In ClaudeHub, choose Accounts > Add Existing Claude Profile…, select the profile directory, and assign it a label for the menu.
- Repeat the add step for each profile you prepared. The menu then provides a place to inspect the usage information associated with each profile.
How refreshes and stale data work
The project documents a five-minute automatic refresh cadence. Requests may be rate-limited: after a 429 response, ClaudeHub can pause usage requests until the server-provided retry time or a bounded backoff deadline. Concurrent refreshes may share a request. If refreshing cannot provide new data, the app may keep the last successful measurement visible and mark it as not current; use that label and timestamp rather than treating the displayed value as live.

Credentials, privacy, and reconnecting
According to the project README, Claude Code stores credentials for isolated profiles in macOS Keychain. ClaudeHub imports credentials and keeps its own copy in a Keychain service named com.tugkanboz.claudehub.credentials; the project says it does not save tokens in configuration files or logs. It also says usage and profile requests go directly to Anthropic OAuth endpoints and that the app includes no telemetry, advertising, or third-party analytics SDK. These are maintainer statements, not an independent security audit.
macOS may prompt for Keychain access. The README says a denied or pending authorization pauses automatic access and renewal for the affected account, while other profiles can continue. If a refresh token expires or is revoked, or an authentication error occurs, sign in again using the same profile directory, then choose Accounts > Reconnect Profile. Relaunching the app alone may reuse its cached credential. Restarting the Mac does not itself require another browser login, but it cannot extend a token that has expired or been revoked.

The project says its renewal process does not open a browser, invoke a model, or consume Claude plan usage. That describes the documented renewal process; it does not establish Anthropic’s general account policies or whether a particular multi-account arrangement is permitted.
