For Wednesday, 7 October 2026, the stocks in focus include Inox Green Energy, Meesho, Titan and Ola Electric, following company developments reported by Mint. Asian Paints and HCL Tech also appear in the opening watchlist. These are news items to track, not buy or sell recommendations; the reported market context and company updates are specific to this date.

Market context for Wednesday, 7 October

Mint reported that Indian markets were expected to open lower on 7 October, with GIFT Nifty around 22,760.50, nearly 35 points below the previous Nifty futures close. Those were indications reported that morning, not live levels.

For context, Mint reported that on Tuesday, 6 October, the BSE Sensex closed at 73,067.81, up 685.34 points or 0.95%, while the NSE Nifty closed at 22,776.10, up 220.35 points or 0.98%. These are the previous session’s closing figures as reported on 7 October, not current prices. Mint’s 7 October market report, republished by TradingView News, is the source for the market figures and company updates below.

Company developments to watch

Inox Green Energy

Mint reported that Vibhav Energy Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Inox Green Energy, executed a business transfer agreement with Wind World (India) Ltd for the latter’s operations-and-maintenance business. The transfer is under a resolution plan approved by the NCLT Ahmedabad Bench. Vibhav reportedly paid ₹550 crore on 6 October 2026, but completion remained subject to conditions precedent in the agreement. The update has not been independently matched here to a primary filing, so the reported payment should not be read as confirmation that all closing conditions have been met.

Meesho

Mint said Meesho’s board approved an investment of up to ₹50 crore in Retail Pulse Labs Private Ltd. The investment is conditional on completion of the first tranche of a proposed acquisition of Kirana Club Pte. Ltd. and its subsidiary. If the transaction proceeds as described, Retail Pulse Labs would become a step-down subsidiary of Meesho.

Titan and the reported Tata Group business update

The Mint article reports second-quarter growth figures for a Tata Group company but does not identify the company by name in that paragraph. Its figures are domestic business growth of 22% year over year and international growth of 97%; consumer business grew 25%, watches 30%, eye care 28%, emerging businesses 21%, and jewellery 21%. The context suggests Titan, but the paragraph alone does not confirm that attribution. Treat these as figures reported for an unnamed Tata Group company rather than confirmed Titan results unless Titan’s own release establishes the link.

Rank #2

Ola Electric

Mint reported that Ola Electric’s board was scheduled to meet on 7 October to discuss matters related to a proposed partly paid-up rights issue of up to ₹1,000 crore. The NSE company page lists a board meeting for that date concerning fundraising and other business matters. A proposed issue and a meeting agenda do not establish the final terms or outcome.

Asian Paints and HCL Tech

Asian Paints and HCL Tech are named in the opening watchlist, but the article’s later paragraph labels are incomplete. It mentions an HCL Group investment of ₹500 crore to expand HCL IT City in Lucknow and an HCLTech programme aiming to train 1,000 students. Because the article does not clearly label every update, do not assume that all nearby or unlabeled corporate details belong to either named company.

Other developments reported in the same watchlist

Mint’s article also includes several updates whose company attribution is not explicit in the relevant paragraphs. They may help explain why other shares were included, but should not be assigned to a specific company without checking the company announcement or exchange filing.

  • An additional cement grinding unit in Nagaur, Rajasthan, with capacity of 1 million tonnes per annum, taking stated grinding capacity to 25.1 MTPA.
  • A board meeting scheduled for 29 October to consider an interim dividend, if any, for FY27.
  • An agreement worth approximately £35.4 million with Social Security Scotland to manage and maintain its benefits-management platform.
  • Incorporation of Paradip Mahanadi Terminal Ltd for two dry-bulk berths at Paradip Port.
  • A FORVIA and ANAND Group joint venture focused on seat frames and complete seating solutions.
  • PTC Industries’ issue floor price of ₹22,150 per equity share, with a possible discount of up to 5%.

Mint also reported the HCL Group’s ₹500 crore Lucknow investment and the HCLTech upskilling target of 1,000 students noted above. The report does not provide a suitable verbatim quotation from a named person or official source, so none is included here.

How to use a one-day stock watchlist

A watchlist identifies news that may merit attention; it does not show that a share will rise or fall, or that it suits a particular investor. The market snapshot above is tied to 6–7 October 2026 and will quickly become stale. For any company update, check the latest company announcement or exchange filing for its status, material terms and conditions before drawing conclusions. In particular, distinguish a completed payment from a transaction still subject to conditions, a board agenda from an approved issue, and an attributed company result from an unlabeled paragraph.
