Choosing an iOS location changer in 2026 requires one important distinction: an App Store app that saves or shares a map pin is not the same as a tool that changes the location reported to other apps.

Apple does not offer a normal public iOS API that lets an App Store app replace the iPhone’s system GPS everywhere. The practical options are desktop-assisted tools, sideloaded or assistant-installed utilities, browser-focused tools, and Apple’s own developer testing features. Each has different setup requirements and limitations.

What an iOS location changer can—and cannot—do

Core Location can combine GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular information. A VPN changes your apparent network location and IP address, but it does not independently change the GPS location supplied to iOS.

That is why many App Store listings using terms such as “location changer” or “GPS joystick” are misleading if you need system-wide spoofing. Some only create shareable coordinates, edit photo EXIF data, save map locations, or test browser location behavior.

1. Tenorshare iAnyGo: best overall desktop-assisted option

iAnyGo is aimed at users who want more than a single coordinate change. Its documented controls include teleporting, single-spot and multi-spot movement, joystick operation, route planning, location history, and Pokémon GO-oriented tools.

How the iOS setup works

  1. Install the iAnyGo iOS Assistant on a computer using Tenorshare’s installation instructions.
  2. Use the assistant to install the iAnyGo iOS app on the iPhone.
  3. Open the iAnyGo app and search for an address or select a point on the map.
  4. Tap Change Location, shown near the lower-right area of the interface.
  5. For simulated movement, choose single-spot, multi-spot, jump-teleport, or joystick controls.

The setup is more substantial than downloading an App Store utility. The app may need to be reinstalled or trusted again when its signing validity expires. A major iOS update can also break the workflow until the vendor releases a compatible version.

Be careful with similarly named App Store listings. An App Store app called “iAnyGo – Location move” is published by a different developer and should not automatically be treated as Tenorshare’s official system-location product.

2. iMyFone AnyTo: best range of movement modes

AnyTo stands out for the number of movement options it documents: teleport, jump teleport, navigation, multi-spot routes, joystick control, GPX import, and a cooling-mode display.

TestFlight and VPN setup

AnyTo’s current iOS guide describes a TestFlight route:

  1. Install TestFlight from the App Store.
  2. Open AnyTo’s installation page and tap View in TestFlight.
  3. Install the app listed as iGo-Markto, then open iGo.

The guide also describes a VPN-configuration route:

  1. Open iGo > Settings > Feedback.
  2. Enter Anyto in the feedback field, provide an email address, and submit.
  3. Reopen iGo, long-press the map, and choose a location and modification method.
  4. Start VPN configuration and tap Allow.
  5. Follow the prompt to iPhone Settings and approve the configuration with the device passcode.
  6. Return to iGo and apply the selected location.

Documented navigation speeds range from 1 m/s to 30 m/s. GPX files are available through Profile > Import GPX File. The cooling display can help with timing between movements, but it is not a guarantee against detection or account action.

Because this method can install a VPN configuration, check whether other network-dependent services work normally afterward. Some desktop guidance from AnyTo also warns that DNS settings can affect Apple services.

3. Wondershare Dr.Fone Virtual Location: best established desktop interface

Dr.Fone Virtual Location provides a conventional Windows or Mac interface with teleporting, route simulation, joystick movement, favorites, history, fluctuation mode, and a cooldown timer.

Documented connection path

  1. Launch Dr.Fone on the computer.
  2. Select Virtual Location.
  3. Connect the iPhone or iPad by USB, or use Wi-Fi after the initial USB connection if supported.
  4. Click Get Started, then select a location mode.
  5. Search for a destination or select it on the map.
  6. Apply the location change.

For a teleport, the detailed workflow is Virtual Location > Get Started, followed by selecting the teleport mode, entering a destination, clicking Go, and then clicking Move Here.

The cooldown timer calculates a suggested waiting period based on distance. It does not make a spoofed location invisible to a game or other service. Also, treat forward-looking claims such as support for unreleased or beta iOS versions cautiously; compatibility depends on the precise iOS build and application version.

4. UnicTool TailorGo: best for routes and multiple devices

TailorGo is a strong choice if route planning, GPX files, or controlling several devices matters more than a minimal setup. Its documented modes include teleport, two-spot, multi-spot, joystick, jump teleport, and GPX import/export. It claims support for up to five connected iOS and Android devices.

Desktop workflow

  1. Launch TailorGo and click Get Started.
  2. Connect the iPhone by USB.
  3. Tap Trust on the iPhone and enter the passcode if requested.
  4. Select a mode in the upper-right area of the application.
  5. Choose a destination by searching or clicking the map.
  6. Click Move.

After the first USB pairing, the guide says the iPhone can subsequently connect over the same Wi-Fi network as the computer, provided the phone remains unlocked.

Installing the iOS app

TailorGo’s assistant-based installation requires a computer, an Apple ID, USB pairing, and—on iOS 17 or later—Developer Mode when prompted. After installation, go to Settings > General > VPN & Device Management, select the developer identity associated with the Apple ID, and tap Trust.

The documented iOS app validity period is seven days. Check Personal Center > Expiration Date and reinstall before it expires. TailorGo also documents an iGoSpeed flow involving Speed Test, Test Now, Boost, and VPN configuration.

5. 3uTools Virtual Location: best basic free desktop utility

3uTools is the simplest option in this list if you only need to select a coordinate and do not need sophisticated route simulation.

Steps

  1. Install and open 3uTools.
  2. Connect the iPhone with a USB cable.
  3. Unlock the iPhone.
  4. Open Toolbox > Virtual Location.
  5. Enter coordinates, search in the Search Location bar, or click the map.
  6. Click Modify virtual location.

The phone must remain unlocked while the change is applied. To restore the real location, click Restore true location and reboot the iPhone, or reboot it directly. The official documented feature set is basic and does not establish the same route, joystick, or GPX functionality offered by the paid tools.

6. GeoSpoof: best for Safari and testing

GeoSpoof is better understood as a browser-location and developer-testing tool than as a universal iOS GPS spoofer. Its App Store listing describes Safari location changes, per-site controls, WebRTC leak blocking, VPN synchronization, timezone alignment, a Mac companion, and up to ten favorite locations.

Its device-GPS feature is described as Pro and experimental. GeoSpoof says it uses Apple’s standard developer location tools rather than modifying iOS. That makes it potentially useful for testing websites and location-aware browser behavior, but the listing does not establish reliable compatibility with every third-party app.

What App Store location apps usually do

Most ordinary App Store utilities cannot change the system GPS used by Maps, Find My, Pokémon GO, Tinder, WhatsApp, or other apps. Their legitimate uses can still include sharing a selected pin, creating a map preview, saving coordinates, planning a route, producing a location report, or editing photo metadata.

App Store description Likely function System GPS replacement?
Location Changer – Loc Shifter Shares selected coordinates and creates location material No; its listing explicitly says so
Location Changer – Loca Change Saves and shares locations No
GPS Joystick: Location Changer Edits GPS metadata for photos No; the actual device location remains unchanged
Location Changer: Loc Saver Saves locations, routes, weather, and GPS/EXIF data Not established

Before paying for any app, read the limitations section of its App Store listing. “Change location” may refer to a pin, photo, browser session, or shared message—not the phone’s location services.

Apple’s supported method for developers: Xcode

If the goal is app development or automated testing, Xcode is the cleanest supported route.

Test-plan simulation

  1. Open Xcode.
  2. Choose Product > Test Plan > Edit Test Plan.
  3. Select Configuration in the test-plan editor.
  4. Under Localization, click Simulated Location.
  5. Choose a predefined location or select Add GPX File to Workspace.
  6. Select the GPX file.

For UI automation, Apple documents this Swift example:

XCUIDevice.shared.location =
    XCUILocation(location: CLLocation(
        latitude: 37.334886,
        longitude: -122.008988
    ))

In the iOS Simulator, use Debug > Location > Custom Location, enter latitude and longitude, and click OK. These methods simulate location for a test bundle or simulated device; they are not consumer tools for changing every app on a physical iPhone.

Important limitations and risks

  • Computer requirements: “No jailbreak” does not mean “no computer.” Initial installation, pairing, signing, or control may still require one.
  • Reinstallation: Sideloaded tools can expire, lose trust, or require renewed developer approval.
  • Incomplete signal changes: A GPS change does not automatically alter IP address, Wi-Fi positioning, timezone, motion data, or account history.
  • App enforcement: Games and services may detect impossible travel, unusual movement, modified location sources, or unsupported software. No cooldown timer guarantees that an account will avoid penalties.
  • Network side effects: VPN profiles or DNS changes can interfere with Apple services and other apps.
  • Privacy: Installing a configuration profile or giving a utility access to an Apple ID requires care. Use official vendor pages, inspect permissions, and remove profiles you no longer need.

FAQ

Can an App Store app change my iPhone GPS for every other app?

Usually no. Standard App Store apps generally cannot replace the system location consumed by other apps. Many instead save pins, share coordinates, edit photo metadata, or test browser location.

Does a VPN change an iPhone’s GPS location?

No. A VPN normally changes network routing and the apparent IP region. It does not, by itself, replace the GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or cellular location inputs used by iOS Location Services.

Do iOS location changers require a computer?

Many do, at least for initial installation or pairing. iAnyGo, TailorGo, Dr.Fone, and desktop editions of AnyTo document computer-assisted workflows, although some products also provide TestFlight or VPN-based paths.

Which option is best for legitimate app testing?

Use Apple’s supported Xcode tools: GPX files and simulated locations in test plans, UI automation with XCUIDevice.location, or Debug > Location > Custom Location in the iOS Simulator.

The Bottom Line

For a feature-rich desktop-assisted workflow, iAnyGo is the broadest general choice in this comparison. AnyTo offers the widest documented set of movement modes, Dr.Fone has a polished desktop interface, TailorGo is suited to GPX routes and multiple devices, and 3uTools covers simple USB-based changes. GeoSpoof is more appropriate for Safari and development testing.

Do not assume that an App Store listing called “Location Changer” can alter the iPhone’s system GPS. Check the installation method, iOS build support, expiration rules, VPN requirements, and the vendor’s exact limitations before using any tool.
