The manufacturer also says the paste removes oxidation residue and contaminants, polishes matte or tarnished areas, and temporarily protects against oxidation. That combination makes it a specific match for the stated PC-hardware use; it does not prove that TG outperforms the alternatives on ordinary copper tarnish.

What comes in the TG set

Using TG Metal Polish on copper PC hardware
- Apply by hand where practical. Thermal Grizzly recommends the included polishing pen for hand application.
- Use particular care on silicon. For CPU dies and GPU chips, the manufacturer advises careful handling and no excessive pressure.
- Remove all polish residue before liquid metal. Thermal Grizzly says the surface should be completely free of residue before liquid-metal application and gives its cleaning wipes or isopropyl alcohol as examples.
- Avoid excluded finishes. Do not apply the paste to painted or powder-coated surfaces.
- Control heat if using a powered tool. If using a mechanical or electric polishing aid such as a Dremel attachment, keep friction-generated temperature at or below 60 °C, per Thermal Grizzly’s instructions. The company also cautions that excessive axial movement can cause paste to lose adhesion to a polishing attachment.
