A falha documentada era específica da versão Xbox Play Anywhere para PC. O 5.00b corrigiu a indisponibilidade de DLSS nessa versão; não há base para dizer que esse mesmo defeito afetava todas as versões de PC ou consoles.
Efeitos visuais em Velen
O hotfix 5.00c alterou Bloom, iluminação da vegetação, saturação e iluminação de Path Tracing na região de Velen. As notas especificam esses ajustes, mas não quantificam diferenças visuais ou de desempenho.

O Remastered foi lançado em 29 de setembro de 2026 como atualização gratuita para proprietários elegíveis no mesmo ecossistema de plataforma. A edição inclui as expansões Hearts of Stone e Blood and Wine. As notas de mudanças visuais publicadas em 28 de setembro descrevem uma atualização ampla, com modelo de shading aprimorado, texturas e modelos atualizados com recursos do The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project, ajustes na iluminação da vegetação, renderização nativa DirectX 12 com multithreading e tone mapping atualizado.

O conjunto também inclui GTAO, sombras locais com ray tracing, reflexos e sombras screen space atualizados, painel de calibração HDR revisado, motion blur aprimorado, subsurface scattering e nova iluminação baseada em imagem. Esse contexto ajuda a entender a amplitude das mudanças gráficas, mas as notas não dizem que uma dessas alterações específicas causou os problemas corrigidos posteriormente.
O hotfix corrigiu outros problemas?
Sim. Além dos ajustes visuais, as notas do 5.00c listam uma correção para salvamento e carregamento quando o caminho da pasta Documentos contém caracteres especiais e outra para volume de voz reduzido depois de navegar pelas abas do menu de pausa.

Na cobertura publicada em 1º de outubro, a Windows Central relatou problemas técnicos no lançamento, incluindo falha de DLSS no Xbox Play Anywhere para PC e problemas de salvamento, além de informar que o estúdio investigava relatos. A correção do 5.00c trata de uma circunstância específica do caminho da pasta Documentos; isso não demonstra que todos os relatos de salvamento tinham a mesma causa ou foram resolvidos.
