The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is listed for Nintendo Switch 2, with a November 5, 2026 release date. Retailer reports have put the physical preorder around $10 below its $69.99 regular price, but the reported prices differ and the offer may change. Check the live product page and cart before ordering.
What the reported preorder deal includes
The discount reported so far applies to the physical Nintendo Switch 2 edition, not necessarily the digital version. Tom’s Guide reported on September 18, 2026, that Amazon and Walmart had the physical preorder for about $59, down from $69.99, with the lower price appearing after the game was added to the cart. That is a dated retailer-price report, not confirmation of a current price or a Nintendo-sponsored promotion.
A later GamesRadar snapshot, dated October 1, 2026, listed a $59.88 price against $69.99. The different figures show why “save $10” is best treated as a description of the reported discount, not a guaranteed checkout total.
| Report | Retailer or scope | Reported price | What the report establishes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tom’s Guide, September 18, 2026 | Amazon and Walmart physical preorders | About $59, compared with $69.99 | Reported discount appeared after adding the game to cart. |
| GamesRadar, October 1, 2026 | Retailer snapshot | $59.88, compared with $69.99 | A later listed price; it does not establish a universal price or continuing offer. |
Before paying, check the physical SKU, cart price, stock, shipping or pickup costs, and whether the discount conditions still apply. Nintendo’s U.S. retail offers page did not show a Nintendo-sponsored $10 Ocarina of Time offer in the available listing.
Release date, platform, and edition
Nintendo’s U.S. physical product listing identifies the platform as Nintendo Switch 2 and gives November 5, 2026 as the release date. Nintendo describes this version as built from the ground up for Switch 2. It is not listed as a release for the original Nintendo Switch model.
Nintendo also has a separate digital product listing, but the cited discount reporting concerns physical preorders. Do not assume a physical-retailer discount applies to a digital purchase.

How to check whether the $10 discount is available
- Open the retailer’s current listing for the physical Ocarina of Time game and confirm that the product is the Nintendo Switch 2 edition.
- Check the listing price, then add the item to your cart. Tom’s Guide reported that the lower Amazon and Walmart prices appeared in the cart.
- Review the final order total, including shipping or pickup charges, and confirm stock and delivery details before placing the order.
If the cart does not show a lower price, or the total is not worthwhile after fulfillment costs, the reported deal may no longer apply to that listing.
What the game is
Nintendo describes the story as one in which Ganondorf schemes to steal the Triforce and Link must become the Hero of Time to save the kingdom. The official listing gives the rating descriptors as Animated Blood and Fantasy Violence. Nintendo announced the game during its June 9, 2026 Nintendo Direct.
