The best replacement depends on what you watch: Hulu is a strong fit for a mix of current and older TV and movies, Peacock Premium for NBC and Bravo shows plus movies, originals and sports, Apple TV for exclusive originals, and Tubi for free, ad-supported viewing. Before canceling Paramount+ or Max, check where the exact shows and films you care about are available; no service here is established as a like-for-like replacement for either library.
Choose a service by what you want to watch
This comparison is for viewers in the United States. Catalogs, prices, ads and bundle terms can change, so treat the prices below as the amounts shown on official service pages when checked in 2026, not guaranteed offers.
Hulu: a mix of current TV, full seasons and movies
Hulu describes its library as including current TV hits, full seasons, older seasons, movies, Hulu Originals and kids programming. That makes it a practical option when you want a broad on-demand mix rather than a service centered on one kind of exclusive content. Peacock: NBC, Bravo, movies, originals and sports
Peacock Premium is the tier to consider if you want movies, Peacock Originals and sports alongside TV programming such as NBC and Bravo shows. Peacock Select is not a comparable all-around replacement: its listed features exclude movies, sports and originals. Peacock’s plans page describes the current tiers and features.

Apple TV: a focused choice for Apple Originals
Apple says its service offers hundreds of Apple Original shows and movies, with new releases weekly. It is most relevant if exclusive originals are the priority, rather than a broad collection of third-party subscription libraries. The subscription does not include other streaming subscriptions or titles offered for rent or purchase in the Apple TV app. Apple’s US service page lists $12.99 per month after a seven-day trial.
Tubi: free viewing with ads
Tubi says it has thousands of movies and TV shows and is free to watch, supported by advertising. It can help reduce subscription costs, but the ad-supported experience is different from a paid plan. See Tubi’s service page for details.

Prime Video: a hub for subscriptions, rentals and other viewing
Prime Video offers paid add-on subscriptions, as well as licensed content, rentals and purchases, and free ad-supported channels. A channel available through Prime Video is not automatically included with Prime; add-on subscriptions cost extra, and Amazon says customers can subscribe with or without Prime. Amazon announced a US Apple TV and Peacock Premium Plus bundle for $19.99 per month for a limited time. Because the offer was explicitly time-limited, check Amazon’s announcement and current sign-up terms rather than assuming it is still available.

Check the exact title before you cancel
Streaming rights shift, so a service’s general description cannot confirm that a particular movie or show is included today. Search the title in JustWatch US, which supports discovery across providers and filters for price, genre, release year, rating, country, runtime and age rating. Then confirm availability and terms in the service’s own current catalog before subscribing or canceling.
For Hulu, the current library and its “coming and going” updates are another way to check specific programming. For any service, verify whether the title is included in the plan you intend to buy, rather than available only to rent, purchase or access through an extra subscription.

Use these checks to make the choice
- Exact titles: Confirm your must-watch movies and series first; genre fit does not guarantee a specific title is included.
- Total cost: Compare monthly and annual prices, and check whether a bundle replaces subscriptions you already pay for or simply adds more.
- Ads: Check the tier’s ad policy and exceptions. “No ads” may have limited exceptions, while an ad-supported tier can change the viewing experience.
- Included content: Check whether movies, originals and sports are part of the lowest tier or require a higher plan.
- Viewing rules and devices: Before subscribing, verify current download and simultaneous-stream limits and support for your TV or streaming device; the cited service descriptions do not establish all those terms.
- App and billing setup: Bundles and Prime Video add-ons can make billing or app access different from a standalone subscription. Confirm where each library plays and what is billed separately.
