The cited Geekbench 6 results favor the Tensor G4-equipped Pixel 9 over the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4-equipped Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G in both single-core and multi-core scores. That is a comparison of results from two different phones—not a controlled test proving one processor is always faster.
Which chip is faster in the available benchmarks?
In the reported Geekbench 6 results, the Pixel 9 leads on both CPU measures. Geekbench Browser’s Pixel 9 figures are user-submitted device results, while Beebom’s Snapdragon figures come from its test of the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G. The difference is useful as an indication, but it cannot isolate the processor from the phone around it.

The cited Pixel 9 Geekbench figures are about 13% higher in single-core and 21% higher in multi-core than Beebom’s Redmi figures. Those percentages describe only this pair of published handset results; they are not a guaranteed performance gap between all phones using these chips. NanoReview separately lists Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 aggregate results of 1,223 single-core and 3,168 multi-core in Geekbench 6, and 1,041,898 in AnTuTu 11. Different samples and phone implementations explain why aggregate figures may not match an individual review run.

What the specifications tell you
Google identifies Tensor G4 as the processor in the Pixel 9 family. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 brief lists supported platform capabilities, including global 5G multi-SIM with 5G/4G dual-SIM dual-active (DSDA), peak 5G downlink of up to 2.9 Gbps, and Wi-Fi 6E. These are platform capabilities, not promises of the speed or connectivity every handset will deliver.

For secondary architecture context, NanoReview describes the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 as an eight-core, 4 nm chip announced August 19, 2025. Its listed layout is one Cortex-A720-based prime core up to 2.7 GHz, three A720-based performance cores up to 2.4 GHz, and four A520-based efficiency cores up to 1.8 GHz. Qualcomm’s product brief is the primary source for official feature claims; it does not make this architecture description a direct comparison with Tensor G4.
Why the scores are not a chip-versus-chip verdict
The Pixel 9 score is an aggregate of user-submitted Geekbench 6 results. The Snapdragon score is a reviewer’s run on a different handset. Phone cooling, software, power settings, and test duration can all affect results, and Qualcomm itself notes that results vary with OEM implementation and other factors. Benchmark pages may also change as samples are added.

- CPU: Compare single-core and multi-core scores separately, and keep the benchmark version the same.
- GPU: The cited sources do not provide a comparable controlled graphics result for both chips. CPU scores do not establish a graphics or gaming winner.
- Sustained workloads: A short benchmark score does not show whether performance holds up during a long gaming session or repeated heavy work. Look for repeated or long-duration tests on comparable phone designs.
- Connectivity: A chip’s supported features do not establish a phone’s regional bands, carrier compatibility, or real-world network speeds.
What this means when choosing a phone
Tensor G4 is found in Google’s Pixel 9 family; the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 benchmark cited here was run on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G. The benchmark comparison can help frame CPU performance, but the choice is between complete phones. Consider their software support, cameras, battery, display, price, and availability alongside chip performance.
