The Canada-U.S.-Mexico plan also fell by $5 and lost its international-messaging bonus. Those figures describe a 2024 snapshot, not necessarily plans available today.
What changed in TELUS’ two premium plans?
MobileSyrup reported the changes on September 16, 2024. The prices below are monthly amounts in Canadian dollars from that report; regular and autopay prices are shown separately. Autopay pricing depends on meeting TELUS’ eligibility terms.

Was the $95 plan a better deal?
It was cheaper by $5 per month, but it also included 50GB less high-speed data than the previous version and no longer bundled the listed U.S. use, international messaging, or first-device data-sharing benefit. Whether that trade-off helps depends on how much data you use, whether you travel in the U.S., and whether you relied on the device-sharing offer.

- WHY YOU SHOULD GET IT: Mint Mobile took what’s wrong with wireless and made it right. We re-imagined the wireless shopping experience and made it easy and online.
- If you mainly use your phone in Canada and stay below 150GB: the reduced allowance may not affect your use, but compare the price and benefits with plans currently offered to you.
- If you used more than 150GB at high speed or relied on U.S. use: the revised Canada plan was less suitable than its predecessor on those points; compare any current plan’s data and roaming terms before changing.
- If you were considering the Canada-U.S.-Mexico plan: its reported $5 reduction did not remove the stated three-country coverage, but it did remove the international-messaging bonus.
What does “unlimited” data mean?
Unlimited data does not necessarily mean unlimited high-speed data. TELUS’ current plan page says that after the applicable high-speed threshold, maximum speed can be reduced to 512 Kbps for the rest of the billing cycle. Check the specific plan’s current threshold and terms on TELUS’ plan page; features and promotions can change.
Did TELUS raise prices for existing customers too?
Separately, TELUS told MobileSyrup that “Some customers on select legacy month-to-month data plans saw an increase of up to $5 to their bill last month.” The statement, quoted October 3, 2024, concerns select legacy plans; it does not establish that every TELUS customer received an increase. TELUS said affected customers could consider in-market 5G Essential Unlimited or 5G+ Premium Unlimited plans and Bring-It-Back programs. Read MobileSyrup’s report on the legacy-plan increase.

Are the 2024 prices still available?
The $95 and $110 prices, along with the 150GB and 200GB allowances, are historical figures from the September 16, 2024 report. It also listed other plans at $85/month for 150GB 5G+, $80/month with autopay; $80/month for 75GB 5G, $75 with autopay; $70/month for 75GB 5G, $65 with autopay; and $30/month for talk and text, $25 with autopay. These are historical listings, not confirmation that the plans remain available in October 2026.
TELUS’ current pages describe five-year rate-plan price locks for eligible plans and set out device-financing conditions, while noting that plan features and promotions may change. Before switching, confirm the live plan details, your account eligibility and autopay status, applicable taxes, and any connection or device fees directly with TELUS.
