Motorola: longer stated telephoto reach and a 50MP ultra-wide
Motorola’s global launch materials describe a 50MP 3.5x periscope telephoto and a 50MP ultra-wide camera with macro, in addition to a 50MP main camera. Its materials also list a 50MP autofocus front camera. The stated zoom factors and megapixel counts describe hardware, not comparative photo quality; no controlled image testing is established here.
Performance, display and storage
The Motorola is listed with a Dimensity 8500 Extreme, while TECNO lists the Dimensity 7400 Ultimate. Those are the named processor platforms; the specifications alone do not establish how the phones compare in everyday speed, sustained gaming or heat.

Both makers advertise displays with refresh rates up to 144Hz. TECNO lists a 1.5K display, and the comparison listing gives its size as 6.78 inches. Motorola’s support specifications list a 6.8-inch AMOLED panel at 2772 × 1272 pixels. Brightness, color accuracy and outdoor readability require comparable testing and cannot be inferred from resolution or refresh rate alone.
The comparison listing gives TECNO 256GB of storage but does not establish its storage type. Motorola’s support specifications identify 256GB UFS 4.1. The listed capacities match, but the available specifications do not support assuming the same storage technology.

Battery and charging
Both phones are listed with 6500mAh batteries. Motorola’s global announcement distinguishes 6500mAh typical capacity from 6300mAh rated capacity; its support materials list 90W wired charging, and the launch announcement lists 15W wireless charging. The comparison page reports 45W wired charging for TECNO. These figures describe advertised capacity and charging specifications, not a controlled battery-life or charging-time comparison.
Durability ratings and their limits
TECNO lists IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings under IEC 60529:2019, as well as IP69K under ISO 20653:2023. The company says resistance was assessed under controlled laboratory conditions and warns that “Water and dust resistance are not permanent and may diminish over time.” An IP rating is not a promise that a phone is damage-proof; follow the manufacturer’s use and care guidance. Regional model and software-support checks
Motorola UK’s support page lists up to three years of OS upgrades and security patches for its stated market. Motorola also cautions that specifications can vary by market. Verify the exact model number, supported network bands, charging configuration and support terms for the version sold where you live; the global announcement and UK support sheet may not describe an identical configuration.

Quick Recap
How to choose between them
- Choose based on camera priorities if you want a dedicated telephoto: TECNO specifies 3x, while Motorola’s global announcement specifies 3.5x periscope reach and a 50MP ultra-wide.
- Consider Motorola if the listed charging options matter to you: its materials specify 90W wired and 15W wireless charging, versus the comparison page’s 45W wired figure for TECNO.
- Do not pay a meaningful premium based solely on the cited price snapshot: the listed India prices differ by ₹1, but retailer prices and availability are dynamic.
- Before ordering either phone, confirm the local model and its specifications, since Motorola expressly notes market variation and the quoted retailer figures can change.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
