T-Mobile removed “with Starlink” from T-Satellite’s logo and introductory text on its website, according to a PCMag report published by Yahoo Tech on October 2, 2026. T-Mobile had not explained the change in that report. The website edit does not establish that T-Mobile ended its Starlink arrangement: T-Mobile’s currently crawled FAQ still mentions Starlink and SpaceX, and no cited source discloses the specific status or terms of their agreement.

What changed on T-Mobile’s T-Satellite website?

PCMag reported that the T-Satellite website no longer used “with Starlink” in its logo or introductory statement. The report also said the page had stopped mentioning SpaceX and the name Starlink Mobile. The report was published through Yahoo Tech syndication on October 2, 2026; the original PCMag page was not accessible for this account. Read the Yahoo Tech syndicated report.

That is a change in public-facing branding on a particular page. It does not, by itself, show that T-Mobile changed the technology behind T-Satellite or ended a commercial agreement. T-Mobile had not said why the name was removed, according to the report.

Does T-Mobile still use Starlink for T-Satellite?

The available public information does not establish whether the underlying T-Mobile–SpaceX arrangement has changed. T-Mobile’s currently crawled product page still uses “T-Satellite with Starlink” in its page title and FAQ. The FAQ says customers may see network names such as “T-Mobile SpaceX” or “T-Sat+Starlink.” Check T-Mobile’s current T-Satellite page.

The difference between the reported website edit and the language still present in the FAQ may reflect separate page updates. The sources do not explain the discrepancy, and a live-page snapshot is not evidence of contract status or proof that all parts of the site have consistent wording.

Does the carriers’ new satellite venture explain the branding change?

Not on the information announced so far. On October 1, 2026, AT&T said it had entered an agreement with T-Mobile and Verizon to form a satellite-coverage joint venture. The announcement says existing carrier-satellite agreements will remain in place and that participating carriers can continue connectivity efforts independently. It does not name Starlink as a joint-venture participant, say the venture prompted T-Mobile’s branding edit, or disclose the terms of any T-Mobile–SpaceX agreement. Read AT&T’s announcement.

What T-Satellite offers—and what to check before relying on it

T-Mobile describes T-Satellite as a way to use text and picture messaging, location sharing, selected satellite-ready apps, and WhatsApp voice chat where terrestrial coverage is unavailable. The provider cautions that data speeds are limited, some apps may not work or may behave differently, and satellite connections can have gaps, delays, time-outs, or periods of unavailability.

  • High-Speed, Low-Latency Internet: Stream HD content, video conference, or work remotely with confidence.
  • Ideal for Rural and Remote Areas: Perfect for homes, cabins, RVs, boats, and off-grid setups where wired internet isn’t available.

T-Mobile also describes emergency texting as text-only. Messages may be delayed, affected by satellite or location accuracy, or routed to a national response center rather than local 911. It should not be treated as a substitute for ordinary cellular coverage or dependable voice emergency calling.

The product page lists coverage in the Continental U.S., including Puerto Rico, Hawaii and parts of southern Alaska, as well as Canada, New Zealand and Japan. T-Mobile qualifies availability as applying in most outdoor areas with a view of the sky. It says most smartphones from the last four years work, but directs customers to verify their specific device. Because coverage, supported apps, device eligibility and pricing can change, consult T-Mobile’s live service information and support and eligibility guidance before making a decision.
