To add a remote guest in Streamlabs Mobile, create or edit a scene, add a guest layer, then share its join link. You can invite someone before you start streaming or while your stream is already live. The steps differ slightly between iPhone and Android.
What Collab Cam does in Streamlabs Mobile
Collab Cam lets you add a guest or another camera to a mobile broadcast. Streamlabs documents the feature for iOS and Android and describes it as free. The mobile guide was published September 21, 2023, and last updated December 9, 2025. Streamlabs Collab Cam for Streamlabs Mobile Guide
The host adds a guest through a scene’s Layers controls, shares a generated link, and can preview and position the guest feed. On Android, a scene can also include the phone’s front or back camera as another angle.
Set up Collab Cam on iPhone or iPad
- Open Scenes. Tap the hamburger menu in the upper-left corner, then tap Scenes and Create New Scene.
- Choose a scene layout. Name the scene and select a premade or custom layout. The Streamlabs walkthrough demonstrates a custom blank layout.
- Add a guest layer. Open Layers, tap the plus button, and choose Add a Guest.
- Name the guest. Enter a name and save.
- Send the invitation. Share the guest join link. The guest follows the link, selects any preferences presented, and taps the green Join button.
- Arrange and check the feed. In the scene editor, adjust the guest video’s size and position. Tap the gear icon to find guest audio and camera settings, link-copy controls, and the option to generate a new link. Tap Preview to check the guest camera.
- Go live. Return to the app home screen and start the stream. You can also add the guest after the stream is already underway.
Set up Collab Cam on Android
- Open or create a scene. Open the main menu and select Scenes, then Create a New Scene. If Scenes is not shown, select Go to Advanced Settings, tap Continue, and create a scene there.
- Choose a layout. Name the scene and choose a premade or custom layout.
- Add a layer. Open Layers and tap Add layer.
- Choose what to add. Select Add a Camera to use the phone’s front or back camera as another angle, or select Add a Guest to invite someone remotely.
- Configure the feed. If adding a guest, enter a name and tap Add. Save the camera settings. The camera or guest feed appears in the scene’s layers; adjust its size and position in the scene.
- Invite a guest. Tap the guest camera in the scene, open its settings with the gear icon, and adjust the audio or camera options as needed. Copy the invitation link or generate a new one to share.
Can a guest join after you go live?
Yes. Streamlabs’ Mobile Collab Cam guide says a guest can join before the broadcast begins or after it is in progress. For a mid-stream invitation, add the guest to the scene, share the join link, then check the incoming feed and its placement in the scene.

What the mobile guide does not specify
Streamlabs’ mobile Collab Cam instructions do not state minimum iOS or Android versions, device requirements, bandwidth thresholds, supported external camera peripherals, or a maximum number of mobile guests. The general Streamlabs Mobile live-streaming guide covers mobile scene setup and camera and audio controls, but does not establish Collab Cam hardware prerequisites.
Streamlabs’ Collab Cam overview discusses one free guest and up to 11 guests with Ultra in its Desktop context. Those figures are not stated as Mobile limits, so do not use them to infer a mobile guest cap.

Common setup issues
- Scenes is missing on Android: In the main menu, choose Go to Advanced Settings, tap Continue, then create a scene.
- The guest has not appeared in the scene: Confirm that the guest opened the invitation and tapped Join. Check the guest layer or camera in the scene editor and use Preview to inspect the feed.
- The guest needs a fresh invitation: Open the guest’s gear/settings and copy the link or generate a new one.
- The guest feed covers the wrong part of the layout: Select the scene layer and adjust its size and placement in the scene editor.
