Streamlabs says App Store apps are currently available only in Desktop; many widgets work in both Desktop and the Streamlabs Plugin for OBS. That distinction matters if you are choosing tools for a workflow outside Desktop. Check the current App Store for its live listings and access terms.
What is the Streamlabs App Store?
It is an in-product library where Streamlabs Desktop users can discover, install, manage, and add third-party apps to scenes. Streamlabs describes the catalog as containing “dozens” of apps; that is its qualitative description, not a fixed or independently verified count. The current listings can change.
Apps extend a stream workflow with features such as audience interaction, on-screen design, automation, monetization, and analytics. They are developed by third parties and reviewed by Streamlabs before listing, according to Streamlabs. The review statement is not a guarantee of a particular app’s performance or suitability for your setup.
What kinds of apps are available?
Streamlabs presents these as examples rather than a guaranteed inventory of what is currently listed:

Streamlabs’ Desktop getting-started guide also points to music, stream design, and viewer interaction as App Store use cases. Before relying on a particular feature, check its current listing and app-specific details.
How are apps different from widgets?
Streamlabs describes widgets as features made by its own team, such as Alert Box, Chat Box, Game Pulse, Polls, and Chat Highlight. Apps are third-party tools reviewed by Streamlabs. The distinction is about who develops them and where they are accessed—not simply whether they appear on screen.

These availability statements reflect Streamlabs’ current product description and may change. If you need a tool in OBS Plugin rather than Desktop, verify that it is a widget or otherwise supported in your setup before planning around it.

Where do App Store apps work?
Streamlabs says the App Store is available inside Streamlabs Desktop. Its FAQ describes the store and installed apps as pinned in Desktop navigation, where you can discover apps, manage installations, and add app sources to scenes. Streamlabs also says cloud storage can carry apps to a new PC; that does not establish that every third-party app keeps all of its settings or data in the cloud.
App Store apps should not be assumed to work in every streaming program or in Talk Studio. Talk Studio has its own integrations, which are a separate product workflow.
How to find and install an app
- Install Streamlabs Desktop. Use the current Desktop download and sign in as required by the product.
- Open the App Store. Find it in Desktop navigation.
- Choose an app. Review its purpose, access requirements, and app-specific information in the current listing.
- Install it. After installation, manage it from Desktop and add its app source to the relevant scene if the app calls for one.
This follows Streamlabs’ published quick-start flow: download Desktop, open the App Store, choose an app, and install it. Scene setup and configuration vary by app.

Are App Store apps free?
Access is mixed. Streamlabs names Sponsorships and Sidekick as examples of free apps, while saying most App Store apps are exclusive to Streamlabs Ultra subscribers. The individual app’s current listing is the right place to confirm its terms; do not assume every app is free or that every app requires Ultra. How to choose an app for your setup
Start with the job you need done, then confirm that the listing fits your Desktop workflow and budget. Compare candidates on these points:

- Workflow fit: Can you use it in Streamlabs Desktop, and does it need to be added as a scene source?
- Support: What developer contact or support route does the app provide?
The official catalog does not establish a complete current inventory or comparative performance rankings, so choose based on the live listing and your requirements rather than assuming one app is best for everyone.

What about other Streamlabs integrations?
“Integration” can mean more than an App Store app. For example, Streamlabs’ Talk Studio integrations guide covers Cloudbot moderation, tipping, alerts, and live chat widgets. Its setup instructions use Talk Studio’s Apps button, Streamlabs connections, tip methods, and Alert Box customization. Those are Talk Studio integrations; they should not be presented as App Store apps or assumed to share the Desktop installation path.

Streamlabs directs prospective App Store developers to its platform site: log in with Twitch, create an app, submit the application form, and wait for next steps. Streamlabs says apps are reviewed before being made available. Submission is not the same as approval or guaranteed placement.
Streamlabs separately documents API application registration. Its registration page is for API v1.0 and points readers to v2.0 documentation. Registering an API application is not an App Store listing application or evidence of App Store approval.
