To stop Samsung Wallet opening from a swipe, disable its Quick access shortcut in the Wallet app: open Menu > Settings > Quick access, then turn off the switch for each screen location where you do not want Wallet to launch. If you mean a Wallet icon on the Lock screen, remove that separately in the Lock screen shortcut editor.
Turn off the Samsung Wallet swipe-up shortcut
- Open Samsung Wallet. Depending on your region or software, the app or menu may instead be labeled Samsung Pay.
- Tap Menu (often shown as three lines), then tap Settings.
- Tap Quick access. If your phone shows Quick access and default card, open that option.
- Turn off the switch for the location that triggers the unwanted launch: Lock screen, Home screen, or access when the screen is off. To disable Quick access everywhere, turn off every enabled location switch.
- Try the same swipe gesture again to check that Wallet no longer opens from that location.
Samsung’s US support instructions call the feature Quick Access in Samsung Pay; its UK instructions call it Quick access in Samsung Wallet. The route is broadly the same, but labels and available controls can vary by region, phone model, carrier or provider, and software version. If a Wallet icon remains on the Lock screen
A Wallet app icon assigned to a Lock screen shortcut is separate from the swipe-up Quick access gesture. To remove the icon, edit the Lock screen shortcut:
- Wake the Lock screen, then touch and hold it.
- Authenticate if your phone asks you to.
- Tap the shortcut showing Wallet.
- Select No app, then tap Done.
Samsung says Lock screen shortcut editing is available with One UI 6; availability can vary by device, provider, and software version. Its instructions are at Samsung’s guide to adding or changing Galaxy app shortcuts.

Quick access shortcut versus Quick access cards
Turning off a location switch disables the shortcut that launches Wallet from that location. It does not remove cards from Wallet. Samsung documents card-list editing separately from the location switches, so use the shortcut setting for an unwanted launch and the card controls if you want to change which cards appear.
