For October 7, 2026, Titan, HCLTech-related developments, Godrej Consumer Products, JSW Cement and Asian Paints are in focus for different reasons: quarterly operating growth, planned investment and training, a new manufacturing facility, added cement-grinding capacity, and an upcoming board meeting. The RBI policy decision was also a live market catalyst in reports published around the session, but those reports described expectations—not the eventual decision.
Why these stocks are in focus on October 7
The five company updates are not a single kind of signal and do not establish an expected share-price move. They span operating results, a proposed campus expansion, a facility opening, commissioned capacity and a scheduled board decision. Separately, investors were watching the RBI’s policy announcement for possible effects on rate-sensitive sectors.
As background, The Financial Express reported that the Sensex closed at 73,067.81 on October 6, up 685.34 points (0.95%), while the Nifty closed at 22,776.10, up 220.35 points (0.98%). These are October 6 closing figures, not October 7 market results. The Financial Express
Company updates to track
Titan: Q2 FY27 growth and store additions

Upstox’s account also put consumer-business growth at 25%, while reporting separate growth figures for other business groupings: 22% for the domestic business, 97% for international business, 30% for watches, 28% for eye care and 21% for jewellery. These are measures reported by Upstox; they should not be treated as directly comparable segment totals or combined into one growth rate. Upstox
HCL: proposed Lucknow campus expansion and separate training initiative
HCL Group announced a planned ₹500 crore expansion of HCL IT City in Lucknow. Business Standard reported that the proposal could add up to 9.5 lakh square feet of capacity intended for 4,500 technology professionals. This is a planned expansion, not confirmation that the additional space is already built or occupied. Business Standard

Godrej Consumer Products Indonesia, a subsidiary, inaugurated the first phase of a manufacturing facility in the Kendal Special Economic Zone, according to Business Standard. Upstox reported an investment of approximately ₹250 crore. The opening refers to the first phase; it does not establish that the entire facility or all planned phases are complete. Business Standard Upstox
JSW Cement: added grinding capacity at Nagaur
JSW Cement commissioned an additional cement-grinding unit of 1 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) at Nagaur, Rajasthan. Business Standard and Livemint reported that total cement-grinding capacity reached 25.1 MTPA after commissioning. Business Standard separately reported total clinker-manufacturing capacity of 9.74 MTPA, including the joint venture’s capacity. Grinding capacity and clinker capacity describe different stages of cement production and should not be conflated. Business Standard Livemint
Asian Paints: October 29 results and dividend consideration
Asian Paints’ board was scheduled to meet on October 29 to consider the September-quarter and half-year results and whether to declare an interim dividend for FY27. The dividend was under consideration, not declared. Business Standard reported the meeting date; Ventura also identified the results and possible dividend decision as catalysts. RBI policy: what the pre-decision reports said
Before the decision, Business Standard described banks, NBFCs, real estate, auto and consumption as rate-sensitive sectors in focus and said a 25-basis-point hike was widely expected at the time of its report. That was a report of market expectations, not a confirmed RBI outcome. The Financial Express likewise highlighted banks, insurers and other rate-sensitive shares as exposed to the announcement. Business Standard The Financial Express
The policy announcement could therefore matter beyond the five named companies, particularly for sectors whose borrowing costs or demand are sensitive to interest rates. The cited pre-decision coverage does not establish what the RBI ultimately decided or how shares moved over the full October 7 session.
