StickyShell Home is described as a desktop sticky-note app for keeping shell commands within reach and running them from a note. Its launch announcement reports two ways to run a command: show output in an inline drawer with Ctrl+Enter, or open it in an external console with Ctrl+Shift+Enter. Those are maker-reported features, not independently verified specifications.

What is not established about command safety
A note app that executes shell commands crosses an important boundary: text saved in a note can cause actions on the computer when run. Do not confuse it with the separate Sticky Shell overlay
A different product named Sticky Shell is described as an always-on-top terminal overlay built with Electron, xterm.js, and node-pty, intended for monitoring terminal sessions and AI coding agents. Installation details and availability
The launch announcement reports the Windows package-manager command winget install StickyShell and an installer of approximately 3.2 MB. Both the package identifier and file size are time-sensitive, maker-reported details; check the current listing or announcement before using them. The Store search result is evidence of a search-result listing, not a guarantee of present availability in a particular country.
The announcement calls StickyShell Home cross-platform, but the available details do not enumerate supported operating systems or explain whether features and shortcuts differ by platform. In particular, the listed global shortcuts are explicitly described as Windows shortcuts.

What this means for someone choosing the workflow
StickyShell Home’s stated purpose is convenience: keep a command in a desktop note, then choose whether to see its output in an in-app drawer or hand it to an external console. That may suit repeatable, non-interactive commands a user already understands. The announcement does not provide enough evidence to compare reliability, supported shells, safeguards, or platform-specific behavior with a terminal or another command launcher.
Because execution details are undocumented in the available sources, treat the feature descriptions as a starting point rather than proof that the app is appropriate for privileged or sensitive commands. Verify the current product behavior and its command-handling safeguards before using it for consequential operations.
