Stephen Curry is expected to start when the Golden State Warriors open their 2026 preseason against the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday, October 4, in Honolulu. The reported starting five is Curry, Brandin Podziemski, Yaxel Lendeborg, Draymond Green and Al Horford; the lineup remains subject to change.

SF Standard reporter Danny Emerman reported on October 2 that Curry and the four other players practiced in the same blue-jersey scrimmage group and that the group was going to start the opener. How does the first home game differ?
The October 4 Clippers game is Golden State’s first preseason game. Its first home preseason game is against the Los Angeles Lakers on October 6 at 7 p.m. PT in San Francisco.
