What is known about the lawsuit?
Reason says McCurry is suing the sheriff’s office, but its brief report does not identify a court, case number, filed claims, or subsequent ruling. Why “Thick as Thieves” is the headline
“Brickbat: Thick as Thieves” is the title of Charles Oliver’s Reason item; “thick as thieves” is an idiom, not evidence of collusion between McCurry and officials. Oliver is identified as a contributing editor on his Reason author profile.
