If you’re buying new, the soundcore Sleep A30 is the practical starting point: soundcore currently lists it for sale, while Bose says Sleepbuds II were sold from 2020 to 2022 and its Bose Sleep app was discontinued in July 2025. That makes this partly a choice between a current product and a legacy one—not a universal verdict on which sounds or feels better.

Which should you choose?
Choose soundcore Sleep A30 if you’re buying new
The A30 is the more practical option if you want a sleep-focused earbud that soundcore currently lists, with advertised ANC, adaptive snore masking and Bluetooth audio. Its broader audio functions distinguish it from Bose’s original Sleepbuds II design. Check the listing for the exact A30 variant, regional price, return terms and availability before ordering; the US listing showed $199.99 when accessed in 2026. soundcore Sleep A30 listing
Consider Bose Sleepbuds II only if you accept a legacy-device purchase
Sleepbuds II may suit someone who specifically wants Bose’s noise-masking approach and finds a usable pair through remaining stock or the used market. Bose identifies the model as sold from 2020–2022, and the Bose Sleep app was discontinued in July 2025. With a used pair, battery age and condition matter; current support pages do not promise continued app functionality or future support. Bose lifecycle and app information

How their noise control and audio differ
Soundcore advertises three parts to the A30’s noise approach: active noise cancellation, passive isolation and adaptive snore masking. Bose presented Sleepbuds II differently—as a device that uses sound masking rather than cancelling noise. In its launch announcement, Bose’s head of Health Division, Steve Romine, said: “Bose Sleepbuds II use advancements in our proprietary noise masking technology because covering sound — not cancelling it— is a better solution for sleeping.” That is Bose’s explanation of its design, not proof that masking works better for every sleeper or room.

If you want your own Bluetooth audio, the A30’s advertised feature set is the closer fit. Bose launch announcement soundcore product listing
Battery life, fit and specifications
Battery figures depend on the model
Soundcore’s US listing gives the standard Sleep A30 as 9 hours/45 hours, while the Sleep A30 Special is listed as 8–10 hours and up to five nights. Bose Support gives Sleepbuds II a maximum of up to 10 hours on a full charge. These are manufacturer claims, not results from a comparable independent test, so they do not establish how long each will last in your own use. soundcore product listing Bose battery guidance

Comfort comes down to your ears and sleeping position
Soundcore claims each A30 earbud weighs about 3 g and is designed with side sleepers in mind. Bose launch materials describe Sleepbuds II as having a compact enclosure and soft proprietary tips. Neither claim settles which pair will feel better to you: the available cited material does not include a controlled head-to-head comfort or fit test. If you’re considering Bose used, confirm which tips are included and whether they are in good condition.

Both manufacturers list IPX4 water resistance. Soundcore specifies Bluetooth 5.4 for the A30, while Bose lists Bluetooth 5.0 for Sleepbuds II. What the comparison cannot establish
The cited product pages and support material do not provide an independent head-to-head test of sleep improvement, noise reduction or comfort. Soundcore’s advertised features and Bose’s design description are useful for understanding what each product is intended to do, but they are not clinical findings or proof of which option will work better for a particular sleeper. Personal fit, the noises in your room and your preferred audio all affect the decision.
