Sophia Bush and Ashlyn Harris are married. The couple said they wed in a private ceremony in upstate New York in summer 2025, then revealed the news in a joint Vogue interview published September 30, 2026.
When and where did Sophia Bush and Ashlyn Harris get married?
Bush and Harris married in summer 2025 in upstate New York. They have not shared an exact date or the venue’s name, so those details remain undisclosed in their interview and subsequent reporting.
The couple kept the ceremony private for more than a year. Before announcing it publicly, they visited friends and family around the country to tell them about the marriage in person.

Harris’s children, Sloane and Ocean, attended. The couple described a small, family-centered gathering rather than a pressure-filled event. Harris recalled the children running around and picking flowers from the property, with Sloane holding them. Bush remembered the family roasting marshmallows on the wedding night.

“It was so precious, and zero pressure,” Bush told Vogue. “I will never forget it, and I think wedding days sometimes aren’t like that.”
Why did they make the marriage public?
Bush said she no longer wanted to call Harris her “partner” in interviews when Harris was her wife. “You’re not my partner, you know? You’re my wife. And it feels so amazing to say that,” she told Vogue.

Harris offered a separate reason for being visible: “The visibility piece matters, because there are still kids hiding who don’t feel seen, and if we make room and space for one person, that’s worth maybe costing us a little bit of peace in the public eye.” The couple presented these as their reasons for sharing the news.

The marriage was revealed in a joint interview with Vogue published September 30, 2026, alongside an excerpt from Bush’s forthcoming memoir, And I Will Tell You Mine: Notes from a Life in Progress. The Los Angeles Times independently reported the central details on October 1, 2026.

The memoir is scheduled to be published by Flatiron Books, an imprint of Macmillan Publishers, on October 27, 2026. That is the announced release date and may change.
