Neither chipset can be called the clear benchmark winner from the available evidence. The exact Dimensity 7300X scores found are tests of the Motorola Razr 50, while comparison pages that appear to offer a direct matchup actually name the non-X Dimensity 7300. The chips have different specified features, but those alone do not establish which phone will perform better.
First, check the exact Dimensity model
Keep the X in Dimensity 7300X. NanoReview’s comparison is titled Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 versus Dimensity 7300, and 91mobiles also compares the Dimensity 7300—not the 7300X—with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. Their scores and rankings are not evidence of a direct 7300X-versus-7 Gen 1 result. NanoReview’s comparison and 91mobiles’ comparison use the non-X model name.
How the published specifications differ
These are manufacturer-listed platform capabilities, not guarantees that every phone exposes them. Phone makers choose the memory, displays, radios, cooling and other components used in a particular device.
| Specification | MediaTek Dimensity 7300X | Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 |
|---|---|---|
| CPU | Four Arm Cortex-A78 cores up to 2.5 GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores | Kryo 64-bit CPU; Qualcomm lists an Accelerated Edition up to 2.5 GHz and a 2.4 GHz version |
| Graphics | Mali-G615 | Adreno GPU; the cited specification page does not name a specific GPU model |
| Process | 4 nm-class process | Not stated on the cited specification page |
| Imaging | Imagiq 950 | Spectra; support for capture up to 200 MP |
| Memory and storage | LPDDR4x or LPDDR5; UFS 3.1 | Not stated on the cited specification page |
| Display support | WFHD+ up to 120 Hz or Full HD+ up to 144 Hz | Not stated on the cited specification page |
| Wireless and modem | 3GPP Release 16 5G modem, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4 | Snapdragon X62 modem-RF system, peak download speeds up to 4.4 Gbps, and FastConnect 6700 with Wi-Fi 6/6E |

- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The 7300X is explicitly aimed at flip phones with two displays
MediaTek describes the Dimensity 7300X as a platform for dual-display flip phones. Motorola’s Razr 50 product page identifies the 4 nm Dimensity 7300X and shows a phone with a 6.9-inch pOLED main display and an external display. That is a concrete example of the intended form factor, not proof that every 7300X phone has the same design or performance.

Motorola Razr 50 review results
Gadgets 360 reported these results in its 2024 review of a Motorola Razr 50 configured with 8 GB of LPDDR4X memory. They are results for that handset and test configuration, not universal Dimensity 7300X scores.

A database range is not a controlled comparison
Notebookcheck’s database displayed AnTuTu v10 results from 648,947 to 697,119 across listed Dimensity 7300X devices when accessed in 2026; its Razr 50 entry was 648,947. The range combines submissions from different devices, including a Doogee V Max Play, rather than testing the chip under one matched setup. Device configuration, firmware, cooling and workload can affect scores. Notebookcheck’s Dimensity 7300X database page also lists other tests, but does not make this a controlled comparison with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 phone.

Can you say which chipset is faster?
Not from these results. The available exact-7300X figures are phone tests and database submissions; the comparison pages identified above use Dimensity 7300 instead. No controlled, matched-device benchmark for the exact 7300X and Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 pair is established here.
MediaTek’s announcement includes claims of “20% faster FPS” and “20% improved energy efficiency” for the Dimensity 7300 series against competitor alternatives. Those are vendor claims with a broader comparison context, not independent results for a direct 7300X-versus-Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 test. MediaTek’s announcement does not justify using those percentages to declare a winner in this matchup.

How to choose between phones using these chips
For a purchase, compare the actual phone models rather than treating the processor name as the whole decision. The chipset does not determine the phone’s final cooling, battery behavior, software experience or network compatibility.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →- Match the market and price: compare phones sold in your region and at the price you would actually pay.
- Check configuration: compare RAM and storage, not just the processor label.
- Look for sustained performance and heat: a short benchmark score does not show how a particular phone behaves in longer workloads.
- Compare the display and form factor: refresh rate, screen size and, for a flip phone, the external display can matter more to everyday use than a small benchmark difference.
- Assess camera implementation and software support: imaging hardware, camera tuning and update policies are phone-level choices.
- Confirm network bands: modem capability alone does not establish that a specific handset supports the bands used by your carrier.
Motorola’s Razr 50 is one documented 7300X implementation, but its results should not stand in for every phone using the platform. For a meaningful performance comparison, look for results from the specific candidate phones using the same benchmark versions and comparable configurations.
