There is no reliable universal benchmark winner between Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 and Dimensity 7300 Ultra. The available results vary by device and benchmark, and MediaTek’s official specifications cover the standard Dimensity 7300—not the Ultra-branded version. Treat scores for the standard chip as context, not as a direct Dimensity 7300 Ultra result.
Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 vs Dimensity 7300 Ultra: key specifications
The table compares Qualcomm’s published Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 specifications with MediaTek’s published specifications for the standard Dimensity 7300. MediaTek’s page does not establish that every specification listed for the standard chip also applies to Dimensity 7300 Ultra.
| Specification | Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 | Dimensity 7300 (standard) |
|---|---|---|
| CPU | 64-bit Kryo CPU; up to 2.4 GHz standard, or up to 2.5 GHz in an accelerated platform version | Eight cores: four Cortex-A78 up to 2.5 GHz and four Cortex-A55 |
| GPU | Adreno; supports OpenGL ES 3.2, OpenCL 2.0 FP, and Vulkan 1.1 | Arm Mali-G615 MC2 |
| Process | 4 nm | 4 nm-class |
| Memory and storage | Not stated on the cited comparison page | LPDDR4x or LPDDR5; UFS 3.1 |
| Connectivity | Snapdragon X62 modem-RF system and FastConnect 6700; Wi-Fi 6/6E support | Release 16 5G modem, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.4 |
| Camera and imaging | Spectra ISP; supports up to 200 MP capture and simultaneous triple-camera processing | Imagiq 950 12-bit HDR ISP; supports up to 200 MP sensors and 4K HDR video capture |
These are platform capabilities, not promises about a finished phone. The manufacturer and regional variant determine the handset’s actual memory, storage, camera configuration, supported network bands, and other features. Camera quality and connection reliability also depend on the device implementation and carrier.

What the benchmark results show—and what they don’t
Published results differ by source, device, benchmark version, and sample method. The figures below are reported by third-party comparison pages; they are not results from a shared controlled test. Do not read standard Dimensity 7300 scores as direct tests of Dimensity 7300 Ultra.

Benchmark scores can shift with handset cooling, firmware, memory configuration, test version, and workload. For a meaningful comparison, look for results from the exact phone models using the same benchmark version and comparable conditions; one number cannot predict every app or sustained workload.
Which is better for gaming?
The specifications name different GPUs—Adreno for Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 and Mali-G615 MC2 for standard Dimensity 7300—but the GPU names alone do not establish which phone delivers better gaming performance. A game’s performance also depends on the phone’s cooling, software tuning, display resolution, and how well the game supports its graphics hardware.

Which phone should you buy?
Choose between the actual phone models, not chipset names alone. Compare their price and regional availability alongside sustained performance, battery life, cooling, display, cameras, software support, memory and storage configuration, and regional network bands. The available benchmark pages do not provide a controlled comparison of phones across all these factors, so they cannot settle which handset is the better purchase.
Before buying, confirm the exact model and regional variant. Two phones using similarly named chipsets can differ in memory, storage, supported 5G bands, camera hardware, and software support; check the manufacturer’s specifications for the device you can actually purchase.
