The Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 has higher scores than the Dimensity 6360 in a third-party benchmark comparison, but those results do not prove a head-to-head win over the Dimensity 6360 Max: the comparison does not identify its MediaTek chip as the Max variant, and its sample counts are small and uneven. On paper, Snapdragon offers a newer reported process node and higher platform ceilings for display refresh rate, camera capture and connectivity; the Dimensity 6360 Max has a clearly specified six-core efficiency cluster and its own device-derived benchmark results. For a purchase decision, the exact phone matters as much as the chipset.
At a glance: what the comparison can and cannot establish
The names matter. MediaTek’s catalogue calls its chip “Dimensity 6360 MAX,” while NanoReview’s Snapdragon comparison labels the competing chip only “Dimensity 6360.” Its benchmark scores should therefore be treated as results for the comparison’s Dimensity 6360 entry, not as verified Dimensity 6360 Max scores. These are platform specifications, not guarantees for every handset. A phone maker may choose a lower memory configuration, a different display or camera, and regional connectivity bands. Qualcomm’s published specifications are in its Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 product brief; Dimensity 6360 Max specifications above are reported by 91mobiles.
Benchmark results: Snapdragon leads in the listed comparison, with important limits
NanoReview’s comparison reports higher Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 results in the listed tests. It is a directional indication, not a controlled verdict against the Dimensity 6360 Max. NanoReview identifies the MediaTek side as Dimensity 6360, and the numbers come from small, unequal samples. [NanoReview benchmark comparison]

| Geekbench 6 compute | 1,874 | 1,471 | 6 Snapdragon tests; fewer than 3 Dimensity tests |
These figures are benchmark results reported by NanoReview and accessed in 2026. They compare the source’s Dimensity 6360 entry, not a confirmed Max variant. Sample counts differ between chips, especially on the MediaTek side, so the results should not be read as a precise prediction for any particular phone.
Separate Dimensity 6360 Max results are not a direct matchup
91mobiles reports an AnTuTu score of 651,333, Geekbench 6 single-core score of 784 and multi-core score of 2,042 for the Dimensity 6360 Max. It describes the AnTuTu result as the highest it recorded for a device running the chip and says the results derive from real-world testing of powered devices. These are device-derived results, not a same-method test against a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 phone. They cannot be combined with NanoReview’s figures to create a controlled comparison. Why phone benchmarks vary
Scores reflect more than the processor name. Phone cooling, firmware, memory configuration, benchmark version and testing method can all affect results; sustained performance also depends on how a particular handset manages heat. Qualcomm likewise notes that performance varies with OEM implementation and other factors in its product brief. A fair buying comparison should use phones tested under the same conditions, not figures collected from separate pages.

What the specifications mean for everyday use
CPU and general responsiveness
Both chips list peak performance-core speeds of up to 2.4 GHz, but clock speed alone does not determine responsiveness. The Snapdragon has four performance and four efficiency cores; the Dimensity 6360 Max has two Cortex-A76 performance cores and six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. Their core designs and handset implementations differ, so core counts and maximum frequencies do not establish which phone will feel faster in every task.
Graphics and gaming
The Dimensity 6360 Max’s reported GPU is a Mali-G57 MC2 clocked at 1.072 GHz. Qualcomm specifies an Adreno GPU for the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 but does not name its model in the cited brief. Without comparable gaming tests on actual phones, these specifications do not establish a gaming winner. Game compatibility, graphics settings, cooling and sustained frame rates are all handset-dependent.
Memory, storage and display
Snapdragon’s platform supports LPDDR5x and UFS 3.1, while 91mobiles lists LPDDR4X and UFS 2.2 for Dimensity 6360 Max. That is a difference in platform support, not proof that every Snapdragon phone ships with the fastest supported memory or storage. The same distinction applies to display ceilings: support for FHD+ at up to 144 Hz on Snapdragon and up to 120 Hz on Dimensity does not guarantee that a phone uses a panel at those specifications.

Camera and connectivity
The Snapdragon platform supports photo capture up to 200 MP and 2K HDR video at 30 FPS; 91mobiles reports 108 MP sensor support for Dimensity 6360 Max. These figures describe platform capabilities, not the sensor quality or camera features of a finished phone. For wireless features, Snapdragon lists Release 16 5G and Wi-Fi 6E, versus 5G and Wi-Fi 5 reported for Dimensity 6360 Max; check a handset’s supported bands and regional configuration before buying.

No. Qualcomm advertises a 36% CPU improvement and a 59% GPU improvement for Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 compared with its previous-generation Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. Those are Qualcomm’s vendor claims against that Qualcomm predecessor, not Snapdragon-versus-Dimensity benchmark results. [Qualcomm product brief]
Which chipset should you choose?
On the available specifications and reported comparison data, Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 looks stronger on paper in several platform ceilings, and NanoReview’s Dimensity 6360 comparison entry scores lower in the listed benchmarks. But the benchmark comparison does not identify the Max variant, while the separate Dimensity 6360 Max results were obtained from devices and are not directly comparable. The evidence does not establish a controlled winner between the exact chips in the title.
Quick Recap
- For a likely performance edge, give weight to the Snapdragon results only as a directional signal, then compare reviews of the exact phones you are considering.
- For gaming, seek sustained frame-rate tests and heat behavior for the specific handset rather than relying on GPU names or clocks.
- For connectivity, screen, camera or storage needs, check the phone’s actual specifications; chip support ceilings are not phone guarantees.
- Compare cooling, battery capacity, software support, price and regional availability at the phone level. 91mobiles lists the OPPO F35 5G, F33 Pro 5G, F33 5G, K15s 5G and A6s Pro 5G among Dimensity 6360 Max phones, but a listing is not itself a recommendation; verify the market and exact configuration before purchase.
