The Dimensity 7020 leads in one published AnTuTu comparison, but that result does not make it a guaranteed winner in every phone. Both chipsets are 6nm-class 5G platforms; their documented CPU, GPU, connectivity and supported features differ. Use the specifications as a shortlist, then compare the exact phone models and regional variants you might buy.
Snapdragon 695 vs Dimensity 7020: specifications at a glance
| Feature | Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 | MediaTek Dimensity 7020 |
|---|---|---|
| Manufacturing process | 6nm process, according to Qualcomm | TSMC N6, described by MediaTek as 6nm-class |
| CPU | Kryo 660, up to 2.2 GHz | Arm Cortex-A78 up to 2.2 GHz and Cortex-A55 up to 2.0 GHz |
| GPU | Adreno 619 | IMG BXM-8-256 |
| 5G details published by the vendor | Snapdragon X51 modem; sub-6 GHz and mmWave, with SA and NSA modes | 5G carrier aggregation and dual 5G SA SIM capabilities; peak download speed listed as 2.77 Gbps |
| Memory and storage | Equivalent directly comparable details are not stated on the captured Qualcomm product page | LPDDR5 or LPDDR4x memory; two-lane UFS 3.1 storage |
| Display support | Up to 120 fps FHD+ display support | Up to 2520 × 1080 resolution and 120Hz |
| Camera capabilities | Spectra 346T triple ISP; Qualcomm’s product brief gives concurrent capture examples | Camera support up to 108MP |
Specifications are platform capabilities, not promises about a finished phone. Manufacturers choose the panel, camera sensors, memory configuration, cooling and other components, so two phones using the same chipset can deliver different experiences. The 6nm labels also do not establish equal power consumption: the process descriptions alone are not enough to predict battery life.
Which chipset is faster in benchmarks?
In its comparison, 91mobiles reports AnTuTu totals of 513,359 for the Dimensity 7020 and 468,021 for the Snapdragon 695. That comparison gives the Dimensity 7020 the higher reported score. AnTuTu combines CPU, GPU, RAM and I/O scenarios, so the total is a broad benchmark result rather than a measure of every task or a direct forecast of day-to-day responsiveness.
Recommended Free Tools
The published comparison does not establish matched retail phones, software versions, thermal conditions, sample sizes or confidence intervals. Treat the scores as an indicative result from 91mobiles, not as a controlled, universal ranking. Phone cooling and sustained performance can matter more during long workloads than a single total score.

How do their CPU and graphics capabilities compare?
CPU
Qualcomm identifies a Kryo 660 CPU with speeds up to 2.2 GHz. MediaTek provides more microarchitecture detail: Cortex-A78 cores up to 2.2 GHz and Cortex-A55 cores up to 2.0 GHz. Because the vendors present their CPU specifications differently, clock speed alone is not enough to determine which phone will feel faster. Device-level tests are needed for that comparison.
Graphics
The Snapdragon 695 uses an Adreno 619 GPU, while the Dimensity 7020 uses an IMG BXM-8-256. These names do not establish which chipset delivers better gaming performance. Game performance depends on the particular phone, graphics settings, cooling and how well a game supports the device; look for tests of the exact model rather than inferring a winner from the GPU label.
What do the 5G specifications mean for your phone?
Qualcomm lists the Snapdragon 695’s X51 modem with sub-6 GHz and mmWave support and SA/NSA modes. MediaTek lists 5G carrier aggregation and dual 5G SA SIM capabilities for the Dimensity 7020, along with a platform peak download speed of 2.77 Gbps. That peak is a vendor specification, not a throughput promise for a particular phone or network.

Support varies by handset configuration and market. A phone may not expose every capability of its chipset, and compatibility depends on the device’s bands, regional variant and carrier network. Before buying, check the exact model’s supported bands and SIM configuration against your carrier’s requirements.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What should you compare before choosing a phone?
Choose between phones, not chipset names alone. For the two candidate models, verify:
- Exact model and region: Confirm the processor in the specific regional variant; a phone name can cover different configurations.
- Network compatibility: Check supported 5G bands, carrier support and whether the advertised SIM features are present in that handset.
- Screen and cameras: The platform’s maximum supported resolution or camera capability does not describe the panel, sensors, lenses or image processing installed by the phone maker.
- Battery and sustained performance: Compare device-specific battery tests and sustained workload results, since cooling and power tuning affect real use.
- Software support and price: Compare the update commitment and current price for the exact models. The chipset comparison by itself cannot establish either.
For a broad benchmark comparison, the cited AnTuTu result favors the Dimensity 7020. For a purchase, treat that as one data point: the available figures do not prove that every Dimensity 7020 phone outperforms every Snapdragon 695 phone.
