Neither chipset is a clear winner in every task. MediaTek’s published Dimensity 7360 specifications show higher peak CPU clocks and a higher theoretical 5G downlink, while third-party benchmark aggregates favor it in some tests and the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 in others. Those figures describe platforms, not a controlled comparison of equivalent phones. If you are choosing a handset, the specific phone’s cooling, display, battery, software, configuration and price matter alongside the chip.
What is the difference between Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 and Dimensity 7360 Turbo?
Both are eight-core, 4 nm-class mid-range platforms, but they use different graphics hardware and have different published clock and modem specifications. One naming detail matters: MediaTek’s official page is for the Dimensity 7360, not a product explicitly titled “Dimensity 7360 Turbo.” 91mobiles separately identifies the Turbo variant and lists phones said to use it. The available NanoReview aggregates compare Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 with Dimensity 7360, so they should not be presented as matched results from Turbo-branded phones.
| Specification | Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 | Dimensity 7360 / Turbo evidence |
|---|---|---|
| CPU | Qualcomm lists a Kryo CPU up to 2.4 GHz. NanoReview identifies four Cortex-A78 and four Cortex-A55 cores, with the A55 cores up to 1.8 GHz. | MediaTek lists four Cortex-A78 cores up to 2.5 GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores. 91mobiles lists the Turbo model’s A55 cores at 2 GHz. |
| GPU | Adreno; NanoReview identifies Adreno 710. | Mali-G615 MC2. |
| Manufacturing process | Qualcomm lists 4 nm. | MediaTek describes a 4 nm-class chip. |
| Memory and storage support | Qualcomm’s product brief listing includes LPDDR5 and UFS 2.2/3.1 support. | MediaTek lists LPDDR4x or LPDDR5 memory, up to 6400 Mbps, and UFS 3.1. |
| Peak 5G download | Up to 2.9 Gbps, according to Qualcomm. | Up to 3.27 Gbps, with 3CC aggregation, according to MediaTek. |
| Other listed connectivity | Wi-Fi 6/6E capability; availability depends on the phone implementation. | Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4. |

Which chip is faster in benchmarks?
There is no single winner across the cited results. NanoReview’s aggregate comparison reports different leaders depending on the test, and its sample counts are unequal. The figures below compare Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 with Dimensity 7360—not a controlled set of Snapdragon and 7360 Turbo phones.

| Benchmark and source | Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 | Dimensity 7360 | How to read it |
|---|---|---|---|
| AnTuTu 11, NanoReview aggregate | 840,353; 123 tests listed | 925,409; 23 tests listed | Dimensity 7360 leads in this aggregate, but the samples are unequal. |
| Geekbench 6 single-core, NanoReview aggregate | 1,013; 24 CPU samples listed | 1,025; 2 CPU samples listed | A small Dimensity lead in a comparison with very different sample counts. |
| Geekbench 6 multi-core, NanoReview aggregate | 3,000 | 2,882 | Snapdragon leads on the reported aggregate. |
| 3DMark Steel Nomad Light, NanoReview aggregate | 306; 98% stability reported | 343; stability figure not stated | Dimensity scores higher; the page does not provide a comparable stability figure for it. |
| PCMark 3.0, NanoReview aggregate | 13,090; three phone models listed | 10,678; fewer than three phone models listed | Snapdragon scores higher, but PCMark is a system-level result rather than a pure chip measurement. |
Separately, 91mobiles reports an AnTuTu 11 result of 990,352 as the highest recorded by a device using Dimensity 7360 Turbo on its page, plus Geekbench 6 scores of 1,027 single-core and 2,907 multi-core. These are publisher-reported device results, not directly interchangeable with NanoReview’s aggregates: the sources do not establish matched test methods, phone configurations or sample populations.
Benchmark scores are useful for orientation, not a promise of how a particular handset will perform. Cooling, firmware, memory configuration and power limits affect sustained results. The cited pages do not establish a controlled test between otherwise equivalent phones using these two platforms.
Which chip is better for gaming?
The GPU names—Adreno for Snapdragon and Mali-G615 MC2 for Dimensity—do not, by themselves, establish which phone will deliver higher or steadier frame rates. The 3DMark Steel Nomad Light aggregates listed by NanoReview are 306 for Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 and 343 for Dimensity 7360, but the page reports 98% stability only for the Snapdragon result. That is a test-specific comparison, not proof that every game runs better on a Dimensity 7360 Turbo phone.

For a gaming decision, look for tests of the exact handset and games you play. Check sustained frame rate after a longer session, temperature or throttling behavior, and whether the phone’s display refresh rate and touch response suit the games. A brief benchmark score cannot answer those phone-level questions.
Do the CPU clocks or 5G figures settle the choice?
CPU clocks
MediaTek lists four Cortex-A78 cores up to 2.5 GHz, compared with Qualcomm’s Kryo CPU specification of up to 2.4 GHz; NanoReview identifies four A78 and four A55 cores in Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. A higher peak clock does not automatically mean faster everyday use or better sustained performance. Workload, software optimization and thermal limits all influence what a phone delivers.
5G and connectivity
MediaTek’s Dimensity 7360 page specifies peak downlink up to 3.27 Gbps and 3CC aggregation; Qualcomm lists peak download up to 2.9 Gbps for Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. These are platform maxima, not expected speeds on a local network. Carrier, supported bands, antenna design and handset implementation determine whether a phone can use relevant network capabilities. Likewise, verify Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and regional carrier support on the exact phone rather than assuming every platform feature is enabled.

Vendor performance claim
Qualcomm says its Kryo CPU delivers “up to 10% improvement in performance” compared with Snapdragon 6 Gen 1. That is Qualcomm’s vendor claim about its previous-generation platform; it is not an independent Snapdragon-versus-Dimensity result.

Choose between actual phone models, not chip names in isolation. Compare them in this order:
- Confirm the exact model, chipset and regional SKU. Retail listings and regional variants can differ; check the manufacturer’s specifications for the handset you can buy.
- Compare local prices. A modest benchmark difference may not justify a substantial price gap.
- Check sustained performance in your apps and games. Prefer results from the exact phone, especially for games or demanding workloads.
- Assess display, battery and charging. These directly affect day-to-day use and gaming sessions.
- Compare camera hardware and image processing. The chipset alone does not determine the finished camera experience.
- Check software support and regional 5G compatibility. Confirm the phone’s update policy, supported bands and carrier compatibility where you live.
- Verify memory and storage configuration. Platform support describes possible capabilities; the phone maker chooses what to include in each SKU.
91mobiles lists the vivo V70 FE as a Dimensity 7360 Turbo phone. Treat that as a device listing to verify against the precise regional model and current availability, rather than assuming every V70 FE configuration is identical.
