Betty’s Gemstone is underwater in the river at Bamboo Grove. Reach level 10, accept Betty’s quest on the grassy ledge above the river or waterfall, then follow the river past the red bridge or torii gate and dive near the rocky bank. Find the crystal on the riverbed and press T when its interaction prompt appears.
Where to find Betty and start the quest
Betty is on a raised grassy ledge above the river or waterfall in Bamboo Grove. Published walkthroughs identify level 10 as the quest threshold. Talk to her there and accept the quest before searching; keep the objective tracker visible so you can check whether the pickup registers.
Route to the Gemstone
- Go down to the river. From Betty’s ledge, drop to the water below.
- Follow the river past the red bridge or torii gate. The guides use these as landmarks for the same general stretch of river.
- Search underwater by the rocky bank. Dive to the riverbed and inspect the submerged rock face or slab around the rocky corner.
- Collect the crystal. Approach the Gemstone until the interaction prompt appears, then press T, as reported by recent walkthroughs.
If you do not see the item right away, check along the submerged rock wall and nearby riverbed rather than swimming only at the surface.

After collecting the Gemstone, check the quest tracker. Published guides disagree on whether the pickup completes the quest immediately or whether you must return to Betty, so follow the live objective: if it remains active or asks for a turn-in, go back to her and interact again.

What reward should you expect?
Recent walkthroughs give conflicting reward totals and do not establish why they differ. Slayers 2 Guide reports 600 Exp, 60 Wen, and a Health Potion; All Things How describes rewards at pickup and additional rewards from Betty, including +40 Wen per stage; Pro Game Guides and The Click report about 700 XP and 240 Wen, with Pro Game Guides saying pickup completes the quest. These accounts cannot be reconciled into a dependable universal payout. Check the in-game reward display rather than relying on a specific total.
